that argument could be made of bill belichick and nick saban. what about golden state and steve kerr, 3rd straight year he's had a different coordinator
James Borrego: was a spurs assistant for 7 years, left with Monty (another spurs disciple) and eventually came back
Chip Engelland: been with with them since 2005
Becky Hammon: former WNBA player, Pop+Buford signed her as an assistant, made her the first full time female coach in 2014. first coaching experience.
Ettore Messina: big name euro coach, yet the first team to ever give him a shot at the NBA was once again...pop+Buford in 2014.
Ime Udoka: former NBA player, given his FIRST job as an assistant coach by no other than...Pop+Buford in 2014.
you act as if these were heavily sought out coaches like it was making a superteam...most of these guys first coaching jobs were with SA.

10 games is a small sample size and tells us that if they are below their average they are more likely to move towards the mean. Unless you wanna use some mental gymnastics statistics that I can't wait to read.

Game was very very winnable last night it coles down to making shots more than anything.
I would say it came down to turnovers and lack of rebounding in OT. The Spurs shot 11 shots in OT while the Rockets only shot 6. Rockets had 3 TO's to the Spurs 1.

now you resorted to putting down the Spurs coaching staff to make an argument for POP. Unreal.

False. They have the same chance of being close to the mean as they did every other game.
Talk about mental gymnastics.

He said these guys arent highly sought after.
Messina is the most sought after assistant in the league.
Borrego and udoka interview for head coaching jobs.

Over a large sample size teams will tend to regress to the mean if they're over/under performing. Anything can happen in two games, but there are no Lakers/Kings on the schedule to help get the numbers where you want them.

Why does it matter one bit how they were sought after when hired when We are talking about if they are sought after today?
Pop has great coaches in his staff and still make obvious poor moves. But doesn't get any blame.
That's what I'm saying. What does how his assistants were thought of when hired have anything at all to do with what I said??

Now. The present.
They learned from the best, so they get sought out. You wanna make it seem like they were head coaching material when pop and buford hired them years ago.
Osweiler was behind manning for years. You think he gets paid that money behind Alex Smith? No.
Chase Daniel got paid a good bit of money and he was a Drew brees backup.

It's really not worth the effort to go back and forth with Boom. All you need to know is that he uses his eye test when the statistics don't support him, and when they do, the statistics are the GOAT and you're dumb.

Spoken like someone who has no eye test abilities. But we all already knew that.
Posted on 5/10/17 at 1:50 pm to Boomshockalocka
Does Bill belichick get questioned when he lost to the Giants? He also almost lost to the likes of Dan Quinn and Pete Carroll if it wasn't for a miracle from the devil.
They've proven they were the best so they get the benefit of the doubt even when the outcome is poor. Don't deflect and act like its something new.

Just pointing out his blatant misuse of statistics

No you mental midget I never once 'made it seem like they were head coaching material' when hired. Where do you come up with this
That's you making assumptions that are not even close to Accurate. That's your MO though so not surprising. I will give your reading comprehension a break due to ESL. But it is tiresome. You gotta Do better.
