Dana Holgorsen or Randy Edsall. Who would you rather have?

So in lieu of our game tomorrow vs the Terps, my roommates (MD fans) are saying Edsall is a better coach than Holgo. Naturally, I disagree.

Who would you rather have as a head coach at your school?

If you had to pick one. If not you get stuck with Charlie Weis

Why do you think Holgo is a POS?

I really don't think either is going to be successful in their current situation.

Now if I had to answer

I would chose Edsall, for LSU.

I don't believe he was the victim in the whole Bill Stewart exodus.

As a preface, Bill Stewart should have never been hired as the HC. It was a drunken, emotional decision by the previous AD at WVU after an emotional Fiesta Bowl win against OU.

Oliver Luck came in and realized Stewart was chopped liver. He tried to do the coach in waiting thing instead of just firing Stewart. Stewart and his wife got pissed because an "outsider" was going to become coach and he told reporters to "dig up dirt" on Holgo.

Stew was running WVU into the ground. Rich Rod built WV into a top 10-15 program, and Stewart ran that shite into the ground. When Holgo took over, WVU had 68 kids on scholarship.

Stewart also tried to make Pat White, arguably the best running QB of all time, a fricking pocket passer

You know more about it than I of course.

I never said Stewart was good, but WVU is worse now than when LSU was drilling them.

arse Holgorson as he was known back in his MC days. Unbelievable he's the head coach at a D1 college. Complete jackass. Hope he gets committed to psych word where he belongs.

I think both are damn good coaches and will be successful soon.

Both hired absolute dumpster fires and have had to completely rebuild programs. People have no idea the country club atmosphere Fat Ralph was running at Maryland before he left.

Edsall has cleaned house, brought in legit talent, and were it not for having to start a MLB at QB last year in one of the most absurd string of injuries to one position as I've ever seen, would have been much better than their record depicted.

I'd take either, but put a gun to my head and I probably take Edsall.

Just like having good discussions. I think this one is interesting becaus DH and RE are polar opposites

I was so drunk in Baton Rouge in 2010 the only thing I remember is Geno trying to take the snap from his guard LSU fans were great

LSU in Morgantown 2011 was a good gzme until #17 returned that KO for a TD. That was Dana's 4th game as a HC and he called a decent game considering we had a true freshman walk-on starting at RB. Why did we have a true FR walk at RB? Thank Bill Stewart for under-recruiting.

That said, good luck to LSU this year. Your fans treated us awesome in Baton Rouge, from what I can remember
