Dak is still a top 8 QB.

Nah. He’d be 3rd tier in the 10-12 range. Not a bona fide star (1st tier), nor a reliable stud in his offense capable of consistently performing at a winning rate (2nd tier). He’s in a 3rd tier of guys that can be elite difference makers but are also widely inconsistent (Cousins, Kyler, Watson)

You might want to wait for the guy to have a good game against a legit playoff team. I’m looking forward to your melt. Some of you dumbasses can’t even understand how to gloat GFY

I’ll definitely listen to arguments that Dak Prescott is overrated for the type of praise he tends to get in the media.

However, to say he is “easily one of the worst QBs in the NFL” is flat out stupid.

Which is generally what happens on 80% of his ints. Incorrect routes and balls off the receivers hands. Not all Ints are created equal. There is a serious luck factor involved and Dak was very unlucky this year.

I’m willing to dump on Dak not being an elite QB all day but his receivers have had a wild year of being out of place and popping balls up for easy INTs. I’d say that half of Dak’s INTs this year the receivers have culpability.

Yep his next game will say more about how goood he is than any he’s ever played. Right or wrong he will be judged on that performance alone. I’m in the 8-12 group on his ranking today.

agreed. and that being said, him playing the 49ers and how Dak ended that game last yearwas one of the most bone-headed, non-aware of the situation types of plays i've seen on that level.

the way the dolphins finished with all the delay of games at the bills i expect with a rookie coach and a rookie qb. Not from a 4+ year veteran.

He leads the league in INTs this season...AND HE MISSED 6 GAMES.

HES HORRIBLE

hes ok.
the ints were the difference.

dallas were in it to the end.
losing pollard was huge.

i thought dak was a good choice before 4th round.
he certainly looked the part vs LSU.
now after years,
seems like 4th round was about right.
the difference now is he got beat up running.
now hes just a guy.
if you ran him vs sf dallas wins or dak is carted off.
i seem to recall him running more in his early years than vs sf.

I'm a Cowboy fan. But I know as sure as the sun rises in the east that Prescott doesn't have the accuracy or the brains to make a deep run in January.

Good for you, perhaps you should apply for a GM job somewhere since you know so much. Your Nostradamus like skill to point out who threw the most interceptions AFTER the season is particularly useful.

Remind me how many QBs have lead Dallas on a deep run in January since Troy Aikman? Rant and rave about Prescott all you want but the real problem is the GM

Dak Prescotts salary is pocket change when talking about Jerry Jones net worth.

He should have pointed out how awful Dak is against teams with winning records. He’s won just 43% of his games to teams with a winning record. Romo was way better than that if your response is Dak is no worse than any other QB. If you cannot beat good teams you will not win in the playoffs. Dak is good against average or bad competition and bad against good competition. The team has been loaded around him and he hasn’t been able to get it done. Last year’s waste of a remarkable defense was unacceptable. They wasted too much money on an ordinary QB.

This is at least a reasonable response. However….

A quick google search lead me to the tweet below which says Dallas was worse vs teams with a winning record with Romo.

People always say this but what are the alternatives? A list of QBs you think are better is irrelevant because you’re not getting Mahomes, Burrow, Allen etc. Stafford I suppose was attainable (for a tremendous cost) but does he win just anywhere or is he better suited for McVays offense? Lamb is great but a very different player from Kupp. (As a side note Stafford lead the league in ints last year.)

Those Dallas teams were fricking terrible for the most of Romo’s career.

That they were usually about 8-8 is a testament to how much Romo dragged their asses to respectability.
