among the pantheon of ways to give up a walk off run... that's #2 worst
1) balk in winning run
2A) wild pitch
2B) passed ball
4) bases loaded BB

Talk about fricking blowing it. That pitcher will relive that collapse a million times.
Don't forget the SS who should have eaten that infield hit.
The tying hit was hit hard - it would have probably been a close play at the plate if he was coming from 2nd base.

That batter chunked that bat across the plate.
Ball hung up in the stadium padding, too. None of that seems right, although I don’t know all the rules

That was the textbook definition of choking

actually... I believe the runners advance 1 base (if they haven't already)
it happened during a regional... runners on 2nd & 3rd... a pitch tipped off the catcher's glove and ended up in the umpire's shirt pocket
when the umpire realized where the ball was... he called time and moved both runners up a base (meaning a run scored on a ball in his pocket)

If they get to the if game it will be Rocker then Leiter and Little in finals
Disgusting
Rocker is going Friday night, and then Vandy will have to go with someone else Saturday.
Leiter would go Game 1 of the CWS Finals.

definitely
to recap... the bases were empty with 2 outs and the 8-hole hitter batting
HBP
base hit with a bad throw that allows the lead runner to move up to 3rd
RBI single to tie game... winning run at 3rd
wild pitch to end game
amazing... esp. considering the pitcher had gotten the previous 8 batters prior to the BB out with barely an issue

SS not eating that ball cost them the game

KP needs to go talk his boys off the ledge. This one is gonna sting for a while.

great game. Incredible how fast that pitcher went to shite.

I'm not so sure about that... it's my belief the run probably scores and the trail runner probably still ends up at 3rd on that next play... even if the SS eats it and doesn't commit the error
ETA: that said... I wouldn't be surprised if having a runner at 3rd and the leadoff guy at the plate messed with pitcher's psyche a little

If he eats it there’s no runner on 3rd, correct? Maybe I’m wrong

correct... it's 1st & 2nd
but since the runners are off on contact anyway... I'm saying Bradfield's hit still scores the run and the runner at 1st still moves to 3rd... esp. since the ball went towards right field
ETA: looks like the official scorer agreed with my statement b/c he credited the Stanford pitcher Beck with 2 earned runs
if the scorer believed everything should've been back 1 base due to the error... then the walk off run would've been marked as unearned
