Absolutely Altuve.

it’s more likely than not, but he’s certainly not a lock

No, he’s just short in height.

He’s going to do what he’s doing for a few more years then pick a position. I honestly think he’s a lock already for enough people that he makes it.

hes also probably short of being a lock at this poin

Right now, agreed.

If he gets 3000 hits with an MVP and a couple batting titles I think he’s in

I think so. His nationality push him over the top in HOF voting. Plus baseball writers like him.

How good he was over this albeit short period makes up for the lack of a large sample with deGrom. I don’t think he’s a lock but he’s a probably will guy.

Nolan Arenado is definitely first ballot hall of fame

He is certainly one of the best but he doesn't get the Koufax treatment even though Koufax finished with 48 WAR he dominated his last 5 seasons

Soto is another that hasn’t been mentioned, but he’s historically great at getting on base thus far.

Yep forgot Nolan and I think Votto on my list. Goldy is quickly rising to lock as well

Pujols
Verlander
Kershaw
Scherzer

I'm 99% on Trout. If he never plays again I think he should be in, but his counting stats aren't there. Less than 1500 hits, less than 350 HR, less than 1000 RBI. He was also the best player for about a decade, so I think he ultimately gets in even if he never plays again.

Greinke is also on the line, sort of opposite of Trout in that it's more due to longevity than peak. He won a CY, but so have a lot of guys who aren't in.

Nobody else is close to 100%, because you never know with injuries or just falling off a cliff.

ETA: I forgot Molina. I hate that trashy frick, but he's a lock.

I don't see it. I think he hangs around on the ballot but peaks at 60% or so.

if he doesnt get in its because people dont "feel" like he should. pretty much the only reason molina will get in

He wouldn't even be eligible to be on the ballot if he retired today.
