Part of the reason yadi who says he’s wants to manage after baseball, wouldn’t be good. He said “I’m old school, I don’t follow analytics”

He was hired for the locker room. Which is great, that matters. But all of the benefit you get from that gets negated from the fact that he seems like someone who is going to have to be spoon fed information from the front office and the infos applications

Eh pretty much every Manager is spoon fed the analytics. None of them are advanced statisticians.

But he was an MLB catcher for 20 years and was around a lot of teams. It’s not like he doesn’t understand the game.

orgeron was a disaster of a hiring process that happens to be looking up. I don’t really think that is something you want to compare to

The has said this is a team in transition and Harold Reynolds believes that they need to rebuild.

If they are rebuilding or need to than Theo has to state that. Because no one in the city of Chicago thinks the Cubs are rebuilding.

Why they hired him over Girardi I have no idea. Looks like Theo's 10th year is coming up and a dumpster fire he created is a great excuse for a change in scenery he needs.

Kris Bryant is no Juan Soto

Speaking of which, Bryant's grievance is going to be heard this week.

He wins, he's a free agent after the 2020 season.

A lot of people forget Brenley won a World Series his first year with the Diamondbacks with no coaching experience. I thought they would get Girardi. It seemed like a perfect fit.

Exactly. These managers really don’t have a tough job. That’s why they’re paid so much less than NFL and NBA head coaches.

You know what, I'm over it. I just can't shake this feeling as Cubs front offices in the past play this fan service nonsense to placate fans in lieu of actually wanting to win. I've grown weary of the complacency.

As I said before, I hope I'm very wrong in this. I'll even be man about it and if they do win the division will post how much of a piss baby I have been.

A friend of mine, Cardinals fan at that, said I should be positive. Maybe she's right.

Your ownership spent decent coin to get Darvish and Kimbrel. I wouldn’t say Ricketts was being complacent.

that's not the point. Yes, he isnt the one who is actually crunching the numbers. But it will be on him to implement them. I have my doubts about how well he will do so and I think the FO will have to be very hands on with him when it comes to the actual application
