I can't remember the last time a player as good as Kyle Tucker has looked as bad as he's looked for a 6 week period like this.
Been about 7 weeks now, it's absolutely all up in his head now and yes it's brutally bad and hard to watch. You can just tell he doesn't think he's gonna get a hit when he's up there. The two hits he got Saturday were both 6-hoppers through the first/second hole, not really all that hard hit.
Seiya's been bad too but Tuck has been worse. PCA was really only bad for a couple of weeks to start August and is starting to snap out of it, he had a good weekend against the Pirates other than sliding 5 feet past second on Friday and killing a ninth inning rally.

The brewers are 40-9 since the break.
I’m a Cubs fan but no team can keep up with this. Keep the lead in the wild card, get in the playoffs and see what happens.

Apparently counsell finally decided to give tucker a few days off to reset after another stellar performance today. Should have been done weeks ago.

Just read Tucker didn't even run out a ground ball in the 6th. I don't boo players very much at all.....very, very seldom. But if I saw a guy getting paid $16 million a year not even try to run out a ground ball....if I was there I absolutely would have booed....I'm paying $100 for a ticket and $12 a beer, damn right I'm booing that garbage.

This right here, Brewers do this every few years getting white hot during the season only to flame out hard in the playoffs. Prime example was wasting a year of CC Sabathia's career by giving him no run support when it mattered.

Tucker's crappy play the last many weeks has made it a really easy decision for the Cubs on whether they should go for it to resign him.

LOL Cubs. Going to finish the season with the same amount of playoff wins as the Sox

10 years from now, history will show that trade to be one of the worst in Cub history. Houston got 3 very good starting players who could be around for a while. Chicago got a sulky 1-year rental who crashed and burned.

If you had watched the play, it was a ground ball to the first baseman a few steps off the bag. Once the first baseman secured the ground ball, there was a less than zero percent chance Tucker "running it out" would have mattered. No need to waste any energy on that.
Had it been a ground ball to short I would agree with you as there is still a chance for a bad throw, but in this situation, the only thing that would've given Tucker a chance was if the first baseman had a heart attack and dropped dead on the spot.

That's because Craig Counsell sucks and is a notorious choker. His teams always fall apart.
They got rid of him and are serious title contenders.

No one cares about the Cubs

Respect the game and run the damn thing out until he steps on the frickin bag, it ain't that hard it really isn't. If running 30 feet hard is wasting energy for a professional athlete, then he ain't a frickin professional athlete. Quit giving them that BS excuse.
He let up because he was pouting about grounding out to the right side for the 50th frickin consecutive time and having a pity party for himself. The percentage of chance is irrelevant to me on this.

Rah Rah, get off my lawn! Miss me with the "respect the game" crap. If he had run it out you'd still be here bitching about him grounding out again. The truth is, you're projecting your anger about how the Cubs have been playing recently onto something that literally didn't make a difference.

That was Ned Yost, the guy they ran out of town and went to the Royals and won a WS. The Brewers are just playoff chokers

This fricking brewers team is never out of it. Damn. Bout time we won one though.
