I didn’t say anyone who watches the NBA isn’t a sports fan, but I don’t see any sporting reason to watch the modern all star weekend.
The dunk contest has no stars, every game is already a 3 point contest, and the all stars can’t be bothered to try on defense even in the 4th quarter of the game anymore.
I think anyone that would choose to watch that over a full speed, full contact game on at the same time is watching because of an influencer/follower relationship.

So I read up on this to understand how this works. The rules were dumb. They should’ve made them shoot each of those shots until they actually made one. Instead, you just had to take a set number of attempts before moving on.
