Sure, punish me by paying me $40m to QB in Seattle another season.

Not like it is Washington where the QBs keep getting their legs broken.

Franchise tags should be abolished, teams should not be able to force a player to play for them after their contract expires

Some of the smarter teams in the league hardly ever even use it any more.

Look at all the Steelers have burnt holding onto that card with Bell. Trades are hard to pull off, very small window to negotiate, ends up creating a toxic situation all around you’re better off keeping the cap space and getting the 3rd round comp pick and replacing the position

A little different with QBs but QBs have much more leverage given their franchise tag number are insane and it’s so easy for them to stay healthy these days and the teams are willing to pay them top dollar with guaranteed money that gets hard to pass up

So the player shouldn’t get to make that decision for themselves?

They voted on their CBA and that agreement stated that the team has the right to exercise the franchise tag on one player per year and up to three times on a player in his career.

The Drew Brees case has set in stone that it doesn’t matter which team invoked it, any use of that tag burns one of your three tag years.

While it isn’t a long term deal, it’s a shitload of money for one season if you are at a high paying position and QB is the single highest paying position in the sport.

$35-40m for one season is a lot of goddamn money to start jerking around with the team like LeVeon Bell did.

That’s cool and all but Wilson wasn’t even in the league when that CBA was signed and nether was Bell

Ciara is washed up. She hasn’t had a song in like a decade

On May 12, 2016, it was announced that Ciara signed a modeling contract with IMG.[3] Later that year, she became a Global Brand Ambassador for the cosmetics giant Revlon.[4]

Album sales and tour makes moderate income but I'd suspect the modeling contracts are the reason she wants to go to NYC

First of all never been a fan of how Ciara looks. She can dance and that has a sexiness to it but after that video where she's in some kind of extra revealing one piece bathing suit, no thanks. Just one skinny muscle.

Sure it wasn't Wilson that initiated that decision? He's the super religious one. Not sure I believe a career jump-off would've intiated that decision. Could be wrong. Then again I don't believe they actually held out anyway. Pure publicity.

Cowherd alluded to this. Said tagging Wilson for 2 or 3 yrs would be too expensive for Seattle, while they're fighting the Rams and upstart 49ers.

Without Russell Wilson, they'll be fighting Arizona for last place.
