Let’s say for whatever reason a team had to sign you to play qb right off the street and ride it out an entire season. Could you complete a pass and if so how many? Would you be able to throw a few tds or perhaps even sneak at a win or 2? How good of a wby could you be tomorrow if you had to be

I could throw fewer interceptions than Petermeme.

But my position is defensive back. I can't cover or tackle an NFL receiver but neither could Brandon Browner so it's even. I commit fewer penalties, gave less mileage on my body, and cost less. So I should have gotten a contract.

Do I have to make a single read or is it a layup 5 yard dig or hitch route where I know there is no chance of being picked off? If its that then yes, no frickin way could I make a read and go through a progression to complete a pass, even though I have a frickin cannon for an arm....

How many chances do I get? 100? If so I could probably luck into a swing pass or something if I don’t die first

Yep. I'd hang a bunch of RBs out to dry like Reggie Bush against the Eagles in '06 playoffs. Reggie dropped it but one of them would catch it eventually.

Could I? Sure. Is it likely ? shite no.

Why? Defenders fall down all the time. Guys go uncovered.

The problem would be not getting killed before throwing to someone who was completely uncovered/had a defender fall down/get caught in traffic.

A gaudy 1/4th of 1% completion rate would be both embarrassing and accurate. Assuming you didn't die from being hit first.

People underestimate just how fast and athletic professional athletes are.

I was on the field pregame at Jordan Hare one year and got mixed up into the linebacker drills. They were doing a shuffle then sprint warm up and the speed in which a gigantic vascular muscle freak came right at me didn’t really make sense. Like one moment he was shuffling away and the next my life was about over.

An NFL d line coming for you with a new contract on the Brain has to be absolutely terrifying for the average Joe.

How many attempts we talking? Shotgun formation, 1-step drop and throw a 50/50 ball to a WR with single coverage. Throw a handful of those and you’ll complete at least one I would think. Or a quick screen.

Does the defense know I’ve never played QB in my life?

If not, then I think I could eventually hit a 5-yard out or a safety valve outlet (assuming my 5-10 self could get it over the the outstretched hands of the D-Line)

If they do know that I’m average Joe off the street then no, no way in hell would I complete a pass. They’d just go cover 3 (or maybe even cover 2) and take away anything 10 yards and under. Without the easy throw I’d be 100% screwed.
