Could Tim Tebow have been like Taysom Hill?

Strong guy, good speed, tough.
I feel like everything Hill is doing, Tebow could have done. But, Tebow had this QB or bust mentality, so his ego wouldn't let him do it.
But I think Tebow had all the skills to be that kind of player.

Yah he probably still could do it TBH but he likely makes more from just being Tebow - plus he gets to chase his baseball dream.

He played STs with the Jets and I think may have done a little ST work in preseason for NE

I was more referring to returning kickoffs, although that is marginalized in today's game

Makes sense to me on occasions, especially last night.
And yea, I could see Tebow used similarly. But like pointed out by previous posts, no where near as fast as Taysom.

Hill has far, far better acceleration and top end speed than Tebow ever did. Go back and watch the 2013 Texas at BYU game when Hill was sprinting away from Texas defenders in the open field.

Did Tebow want to be a Special Teams players and gimmick play specialist? I thought he wanted to be primarily a QB

Tebow wasn’t willing to put the work in to be a contributor in other ways like Taysom has. Not a team player

This is the main thing that stands out as the difference between the two. That gives Hill the nod at being better at other positions vs Tebow.

Tebow is too big and slow. He would be more like an athletic FB, Hill is more like a bigger version of Vick. Tebow had success in college because he could run over people.
