The issue comes in when the game is on the line. Do you play the right guy at the right time? Nobody has figured that part out.

A bit intentional. If you say too few this thread turns into a screenshot/spreadsheet war

If Tom Landry couldn't make it work these Gen X coaches don't have a chance.

This more than anything. it's crazy how few guys in the world are capable of playing QB at an NFL level. The complexity of an NFL defense is just no words for how difficult being a QB is.

If you had 2 QBs that were about equal middle of the pack guys you could do it. But if a guy has a hot hand you'd be silly to pull him.

I dont think you're taking into account how much effort is put into nailing down the timing between just 1 QB and everyone on an offense. They simply wouldn't have the time to orchestrate a cohesive offense for both of them every week and one of them would eventually show himself to be better at processing the information

The closest thing you could do would be a Chris Leak/Tim Tebow situation where 1 guy is the lead running pro style and the other running a wildcat option that relied on passing and zone read.

I don’t think so.

With roster management, it would be hard to always have 2 quality QBs available.
