Clayton Kershaw has allowed 0 or 1 run in 47.2% (204 of 432) of all of his career starts

To put this achievement into perspective, this statistic is the highest among a group of 310 pitchers who debuted in the modern era of baseball (since 1901) and have at least 300 career starts.

Impressive.

But how many runs where allowed in the other starts? Im sure it was more than 1! Things that make you go hmmm. Cherry picking stats at its finest im sure!

I'm not sure what you are doing here. Almost half his starts he has an ERA of less than one. His career ERA is 2.50. That's not cherry picking. That's recognizing something that no one is even close to doing.

I thought this was going to be about Kershaw and Stafford going to high school together.

He didn't go long in a lot of starts, especially esrly in his career. 1 run in a 5-inning start is a 1.80 era for that game. 1 run in a 6-inning start is 1.50 era for that game.

I thought for sure this was going to be a negative thread on him

But that is impressive and surprising, considering his post season troubles
