Lsudat, if Les recruited solid qb, we would not be in this position. If Les would have hired a qb coach 2 years ago after letting RP walk, we might not be in this mess. The funny aspect to this is that Les still hasn't hired a qb coach so expect more of the same I.e. Spring game lol

he did... RP. he can only recruit and coach them, but he can only do so much to make them behave, and shouldn't even have to do that.

Flynn and RP did very well under Crowton. Lee and Jefferson, i mean, there aren't too many true freshman or sophomore qb's in one season that shine. I will admit Crowton's not any good after seeing the results when JJ is gone.

Ryan Perrilloux set the LSU program back 2-3 years now (Depends on the outcome of '10). Regardless of your thoughts about the coaching, that's what happened.

Perrilloux was the first hinge to fall off the door for Les Miles. Jefferson/Lee is that last hinge and it's hanging by one screw. We'll see if either of those two QB's get the program back on track.

But like I said, Perrilloux is the one that started it. frick that guy.

If RP wasn't an idiot I guarantee our offensive output would have been remarkably better the last two seasons. JJ with two years to watch RP and learn would have been drastically beneficial. Prolly could have redshirted JJ and he is SO. QB this year, and we'd be expecting 3 losses so his expectations would be less. Say what you want, RP loser actions really hurt this team the past two seasons. If he did get his life together, good for him, but I don't ever see myself being a RP fan.

RP SECCG MVP, what did you ever do for LSU athletics?

all this while playing with blood gushing from his finger.

Is that RP in the Elmo suit ? Patch must be his screen name.

If Patch is not RP, Patch.. you need professional help.

In the end, hurt us at the QB position where we're still dealing with the pain.

That's his legacy at LSU, not the SECCGMVPWTFBBQ.

My only response to this is that a program of LSU's stature should NEVER be without a quality back-up QB ready to step in. RP could have suffered a career ending injury and it would have amounted to the same = No SEC caliber backup QB and no QB development. BTW; I am a Miles fan but I have seen ZERO developmental progress from JJ and some progress from JL. LSU needs a QB coach DESPERATELY.

But the GREAT RP could only muster up a measly 14 pts in that game.

if you cant root for a former tiger that contributed to LSU's NC run, maybe you should move out the state of LA.

Let's see if I got this right. All of the bad things that happened to Ryan Perrilloux at LSU are the fault of Les Miles. All of the good things, like the 2007 SEC championship game, happened because Perrilloux' talent somehow allowed him to overcome the preferential, yet indifferent treatment he received from the LSU coaches.

Here is the truth for Perrilloux. If he is as full of the "victim" mentality as you are, and if he is going around blaming others instead of taking responsibility for both the good and bad in his college career, then you are very wrong in your assessment that he has gotten his life together.

you realize had RP not gone to LSU, we would have had Colt McCoy for 4 years and probably 2 NC in that tenure
