I've done some things in the past I'm not proud of," Perrilloux said after his workout. "I just want to show I've turned the corner and can help a franchise out.

"You can't roll through a stop sign here (without get ting a ticket). You can't hide, and Ryan's been here two years," Crowe said.

"If people would let go of what happened at LSU ... " Cook said. "But, talent-wise, he's as good as any in the draft. It's just a matter of where teams want to take him."

Crowe believes there won't be any questions after teams look into his background and study his game films. After all, the most im portant commodity is tal ent.

"Ryan Perrilloux is a Bo Jackson," Crowe said. "I coached them both, and they are different from all the rest."

you really think Miles never once tried to put these things in perspective for the kid?

I remember reading somewhere shortly after RP was let go that Miles said something to the effect that he couldn't recall more than two staff meetings where RP WAS NOT the focus of the meeting because of his ongoing issues.

I didn't realize that you had to go to LSU to be a 1st or 2nd rd pick. I didn't realize that small school QB's never get drafted in the first round.

If Ryan Perriloux had never been born, LSU would have two NCs right now instead of three, so why don't you people STFU???!?!

We should amend our Fantasy League to allow for a criminal activity position. RP would be my
CA 1.

Crowe jsut don't get it. It takes so much more than physical talent to be a pro QB and LEADER OF YOUR TEAM IN THE LOCKER ROOM AND IN PUBLIC.

And Flacco is bad too. He should have been drafted by the Bears. He fits their style... Sucking that is

Two things:

1. You're a fricking idiot.
2. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Yea, blame a 20 year old's immature decisions on his college football coach.

Joe Flacco, Delaware (18th overall)
The Ravens missed badly when they took Kyle Boller in 2003. Five years later, they took an even bigger risk in snagging Flacco. During his college career, Flacco couldn't hold down the starting job at Pittsburgh and ended up playing for Division I-AA Delaware. But Flacco has a big arm and a great coach in offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. He had immediate success as a game manager last season, and this year Flacco looks even better. He has the size to shrug off pass rushers and the arm to fling it all over the field. The Ravens are back near the top of the league, and Flacco is a huge reason that they are.
Grade: A-

So this year's QB class was so strong that a 2010 undrafted QB would have gone in the first round ahead of Joe Flacco in 2008?

Here's the Walter Camp draft preview for RP.

quote:

Ryan Perrilloux, Jacksonville State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 226.
Projected 40 Time: 4.57.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.80.
Hand: .
Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.
1/15/10: As a senior, Ryan Perrilloux had 23 touchdowns to only two interceptions. His completion percentage (58%) was mediocre, but that was because of his sterling 9.9 YPA. Perrilloux has a dubious history, but some team might just be convinced that he turned his life around. Translation: Expect the Bengals to draft him in Rounds 5-6.

2/4/09: Ryan Perrilloux predictably played well at Jacksonville State, throwing for 2,318 yards and 19 touchdowns, and also rushing for 368 yards and seven more scores. Surprisingly, he wasn't arrested all year.

7/24/08: Ryan Perrilloux has all the athletic ability in the world. He also has a cannon for an arm. Unfortunately, he has a brick for a brain and a personality that rivals Pacman Jones'. Perrilloux was kicked off LSU for multiple off-the-field incidents. A quarterback simply can't do things like that. They're supposed to be studying game film and preparing for future opponents; not waving guns at people outside of bars.

All kids need a strong father figure at that age (18 or 19) and some more than others. RP was that some. Miles did not teach him anything, otherthan how to repremand him. I feel sorryfor the old RP and am happy he turned his life around. Every LSU fan should thank him for helping our team get to and win the NC in 2007
