I do agree re the transit.
As for MARTA, we do generally take it to the games, prob 70% of the time I'd guess. But going through underground sucks.

Meh. Underground is what it is. They could do so much to improve it but they wont.
It's a creepy fricking place at night, but they load it up with cops so it's not all that unsafe. Perception is worse than reality there.

Used to actually be cool when I was a kid. I'm not scared of Underground (although there are occasional inside gun battles) but I don't want to get off a crappy train, walk through a crappy mall where people hustle knock off Obama t shirts, to get on a crappy bus.
It's just a dumb system that has the City of Atlanta all over it. "Hey, here's an opportunity to showcase a forgotten tourist attraction!" They're delusional.

I know that a lot of people want it to be turned into a casino complex, but I very seriously doubt that the con artists in the Gold Dome would allow that to happen.
Not to mention that the shady characters that hang out in that area after dark would make it less than safe.
