Maybe it was one they were thinking of adopting?
Yep. It's not exactly as you stated, but similar and might be adopted next year.
Currently, a USC by the defense in OT can cause their score to be disallowed.

NFL like: the force-out catch
College like: overtime, the NFL basically just rewards the team that wins the coin toss, which is quite possibly the worst way to decide a game ever devised

For college OT, have teams start at the 50.
Starting at the 25 is stupid, you're already in field goal range. You're basically guaranteed 3 points in college OT even by going 3 and out, if you have a decent kicker and you don't turn the ball over. Starting at the 50 would make the offenses have to work a little to at least get 3. It would raise the quality of overtime.

I think the tuck rule in the NFL sucks donkey balls.
I think the 2 minute warning is crap...save your timeouts if you want to stop the clock at the end of each half.

When you are trying to come up with a fair system for breaking ties and part of your argument is "too bad,"
Good one, its too bad you do not understand context, let me rephrase:
If the team that loses the coin toss in OT has a defense that is incapable of preventing the team receiving the ball in OT from advancing far enough down the field to score, then that is unfortunate.
Oh, and I never said anything about finding the "fairest" way to break a tie. I said the college OT bastardizes the game, which it does. In any event, what is "unfair" about sudden death? A coin toss is 100% fair. If you lose it, all you have to do is stop the other team from advancing 40-50 yds on average. Teams are forced into 3 and out all the time, why is that so hard in OT? They had 60 minutes the decide the game, nothing unfair about the first team to score wins. If a team loses the coin toss and never gets the ball, well its their fault and that is too fricking bad.

Two minute warning was put in to air an add'l TV commercial....has nothing to do with the game itself.

They should adpt the college rules to where a defensive penalty can extend the 1st or 3rd periods if the offense chooses to. That way I can be completely right in the other thread.

I think they made a new rule in college this year where if you start taunting or high-stepping going into the endzone then it will be a 15 yard penalty from the spot and the TD doesn't count.
Nope, not an NCAA rule.
They discussed, if they didn't actually pass it good for them.
