What would you guys think about a draft for high school players? Like the NFL. All Power 5 teams participate and draft. And the ones who arent drafted are welcome to sign with any team they want. Just an idea!

Yeah, who cares about which academic programs the kids want to be in.

If a player hires an agent, are you still allowed to return to high school?

The more I think about this College Football Draft idea, the more I like it.

So, there's what? 66 Power 5 teams? Average recruiting class size is around 25 players?

So this draft would have 1,650 picks.

A big part of the NFL draft is trades. Imagine the trade machine possibilities..

LSU receives:

Jonathan Taylor
Wisconsin's 2nd and 18th round picks

Wisconsin receives:

Grant Delpit
Breiden Fehoko
LSU's 6th and 14th rounders

THIS TRADE WORKS!

As dumb and absurd as this is, pro sports drafts aren’t much better.

This is one of the dumbest ideas I’ve seen in a long time.

Imagine working your arse off to be one of the top prospects in the country only to find out you have to go to the middle of fricking Kansas with no money or resources

Aside from the hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts the draftees get.

I had a dumb dream the other night:

What if NFL teams could only draft players from the region of their home site? i.e. The Saints could only draft players who play at colleges in Texas, Mississippi, & Louisiana. And so on.
The "football factory" marketplace would be unreal...
