Mark Madsen heading from Utah Valley to Cal. Interesting as he’s a Stanford guy

Amir Abdur-Rahim from Kennesaw St. to South Florida

Always interesting to see how the low-mid majors go about replacing their coaches.

There really aren’t any major openings out there that im aware of. Texas Tech has their guy lined up and Penn State has supposedly focused on 2 other coaches. Maybe he stays there especially if he can keep the roster together.

Sounds like Kim English's introductory press conference went well. He has a solid foundation at Providence and a lot of connections across the Mid-Atlantic and New England. Think he'll do well.

Not 'major', but it'll be interesting to see what happens at Temple. Program has a lot of tradition and, of course, in a pretty talent-rich area. Sounds like it's between Adam Fisher and Karl Hobbs - if I were an Owls fan, I'd be pretty annoyed going Hobbs over Fisher.

I hope he stays and builds something to last, just don't know how much FAU donors will realistically pay. I think Kiffin made 1.3 or so

I always had a soft spot for Temple because of Chaney. One of my coaches took me to a camp up there and i was determined to be tNext Pepe Sanchez. Fran Dunphy was a great coach too.

Jim Larranaga is 73 and Miami is right down the road. Seems like a pretty easy move if Larranaga retires.

I was stunned that Cooley left Providence for Georgetown. I thought it would take something a lot better than that to get him to leave home where he was well compensated.

CY was under Leonard Hamilton at FSU for a while before going to Missouri.

And now he has removed himself from consideration at Temple because their president resigned yesterday

And Stanford’s coach Jerod Haase played at Cal (before transferring to Kansas).
