Blacks get recruited, it's just that a good bit of them turn pro. Blacks get over drafted because they are normally more athletic than whites. Getting over drafted normally results in higher signing bonuses.
I know the OP is trolling, BUT to expand on this point...
How many even play baseball as their primary sport? Most kids (AAs moreso) play football or basketball primarily and have more opportunity that way. You go to college and play a couple of years while you're a big name, get drafted, make money. In baseball you go to college where you get little, if any, coverage and then get drafted and stay in the minors for a few more years unless you just blow the doors off and THEN you go to the big leagues.

If your job was reliant on you getting the best players possible, then you wouldn't care what color they were. The best player will get a scholarship no matter what their ethnicity is.
Being the "best" can also mean being the most diversified. Think about the different experiences minorities come from (low income areas of cities like Jackson) teaming up with a rich white kid to play on the same team. Not only would you likely have more team unity and therefore more wins, the media and fans would also appreciate the narrative. Think about what Michael Oher did for University of Mississippi (although it's still questionable whether the terms "ole miss" and "rebels" are politically correct)

Gramblings basketball team didn't win a game last year. Should they recruit more white players? I'll hang up and listen.

There is no collusion, they do get recruited. How many minorities do you see in professional baseball? TONS. When you're one of these poor kids that can't afford college and a baseball team drafts you in the 30th round or something, you take the offer, get some money and play minor league ball.
This brings up a good point. If these minority athletes are choosing to be drafted (instead of attending college), I would argue that these forced decisions are much more risky than what privileged players are forced to deal with. As a result, maybe the Players Association and MLB should work out an agreement where there is a security blanket for those minorities who choose to go pro over school. It could be where they offer a payout to go to school or even partner with the NCAA/SEC to force historically white schools (see: Ole Miss/LSU/Bama/UGA,South Carolina) to offer free tuition to those minorities who skipped college and went straight to pros and failed - sort of an affirmative action in sports if you will. Thoughts?

Are we at the point that either Congress (or NCAA) should mandate certain minority scholarships percentages for African-Americans/Hispanics that coaches must recruit? Let's face it - it's no longer the 1950's anymore and we should likely embrace this new standard.
Holy shite.

You're trolling, right?
No logical person would say this stuff.

I didn't want to raise this topic on the main page of Tiger Rant or SEC rant because I was afraid it would take away from the more sports focused posts, but does anyone else notice the disparity of minorities that are not playing in the national championship game? If other sports, such as basketball or football, African-Americans are clearly better suited athletes than whites then why not baseball? If not African-Americans, then there must be legitimate Hispanic athletes that should be playing on these baseball teams.

I agree! Since blacks only make up 12% of the population 12% of players on all college teams should be black. This should include basketball and football as well.
