Do the letters "FO" mean anything to you?

I was afraid this would happen. I'm not attempting to stir the board but simply raise a question that has been eating at me for a while. As a citizen of Jackson, MS I see how many talented African-Americans we have in sports (including baseball) but just don't get the necessary funding to attend college.
In conclusion, I was just concerned there may some type of collusion going on between the NCAA baseball teams (coaches) on not recruiting minority athletes. Feel free to slam me but this needed to be brought up.
Probably because they don't have the grades to be eligible to play.

As was stated earlier, scholarship numbers for baseball are limited and very few baseball players get a full ride...
you want to help the situation out, press the NCAA to increase baseball scholarship numbers...at which point you have to plan on increasing female scholarships as well to meet Title IX...

And don't give me that insufficient funds bullshite. Most of them would probably receive full PELL Grants and go for free.

Man you really found a way to top your original post here. That takes talent. Like 1/4 a baseball scholarship talent.

Why didn't you start this BS thread during march madness where you're lucky if the final teams have a token white guy just to shoot 3s?

Blacks get recruited, it's just that a good bit of them turn pro. Blacks get over drafted because they are normally more athletic than whites. Getting over drafted normally results in higher signing bonuses.
Also it is hard to get noticed playing for inner city public schools. You are playing against bad competition normally. When the few times occur in which you may face good competition, it isn't easy to hit a 90 mph fastball when you probably haven't seen anything over 82 before.

If your job was reliant on you getting the best players possible, then you wouldn't care what color they were. The best player will get a scholarship no matter what their ethnicity is.

African-Americans are clearly better suited athletes than whites then why not baseball
Racist!
If blacks are clearly better athletes, why do the SWAC schools recruit white kids.

Your solution is stupid. Force teams to recruit black players?
The solution should be to give baseball an appropriate number of scholarships.

There is no collusion, they do get recruited. How many minorities do you see in professional baseball? TONS. When you're one of these poor kids that can't afford college and a baseball team drafts you in the 30th round or something, you take the offer, get some money and play minor league ball.
How is this going over your head?
