According to MLB, the ABS system has added 57 seconds to each game. Only three players can call for the review, the batter, the pitcher and the catcher. Some teams do not allow their pitchers to call for a review, which is interesting.
The biggest issue now is that the ABS system is 2 dimensional and the strike zone is 3 dimensional. Apparently they tested a 3 dimensional system and there were issues. I’m sure that technology will improve.
