Agreed.
Steve Spurrier would basically encourage guys to declare early if they were projected as a high draft pick. It is foolish to play another year in college.

All of them (save Lawrence who is a sophomore) received 2nd-3rd round grades.
Everyone saying they were locks for the first round are off base.
Sure some of the draftniks projected 1st round for some of them, but that is not what the draft advisory board provided them with.
I think our two DEs are more likely to improve their stock from 2nd rounder to 1st rounder... Smart decision on their part. Wilkins had little to gain from coming back. His teamate will get picked over him next year (Lawrence) and DT is deeper next year, and best case for him is mid 1st round.

Jonathan Allen wasn't a top 10 possible draft pick, was he? I thought his first eligible draft had him lower 1st round?
Wilkins was a top 10 talent according to some. Ferrell was what? 10-20?
Now a ton of stuff that far out is just for clicks and shite, but Allen returning was HUGE.

Allen was mid to bottom 1st Round. I thought.
Foster was bottom 1st Round and still ended up getting picked very late in the 1st but that was due to character concerns and injured shoulder.

First of all, that's false.
Second, those Clemson beheamouths have been tossing aside our sorry-arse excuse for blockers now for 3 straight years. It's almost comical how we literally have zero chance to win those games. I don't think that they are at all concerned about our blocking.

I always at the amount of first rounders every year. Seems like there are 60 something first round players even though there are only 32 picks. If there are 3 or more people better than you in the draft you might want to come back and get better.

Clemson is gonna be spooky next season. Any chance Trevor Lawrence gets the starting job? Kelly Bryant as a passer doesn't scare me, though he could always improve. Lawrence, if he hits and doesn't bust, running that offense wit that defense setting him up... Clemson would easily go 13-0 en route to the playoffs. Easily.
ETA: And they add Xavier Thomas and KJ Henry, two top 8 players in the rankings that play on the DL. FFS that could be the best college DL we've ever seen

Y'all need to slow the preseason hype train down.
Bama is stocked with more talent 1-85 than anyone including Clemson. Clemson should be really good with the pieces returning, but unless Kelly Bryant becomes a much better passer or someone better wins the job from him we will see the same result as this year.
