Stupid article... too many leaps of faith and not enough substantiation.

Well it does state that At 40 yards of the actual Olympic 100m race, Bolt was at 4.35 or 4.36. I am guessing they did same thing that they did for Carl Lewis and Tyson Gay as they broke down their runs frame by frame to get the time.
Considering Bolt has not and probably never will run a 40 yard dash all there can be is speculation.

Also former sprinter turned football hopeful Justin Gatlin ran a 4.42 and 4.45 40 yard dash times. Those are confirmed times also, not just speculation. I know Gatlin is not considered near Bolts league but still.

So why don't you give us some excellent physics and math equations to show where he's wrong and give us a better estimate.

In a 40 yard dash, bolt might be the fastest guy to ever run an NFL combine, but there are guys that would challenge him at that distance in the NFL. A 4.2 has never been broken, I'd like to see Bolt run the 40 at the combine just to see how fast he could run it.

Maybe Trindon Holliday's 40 time will give us more insight into Bolt's possibilities. This is if Holliday actually works out at the combine.

you don't think?

i mean in the best sprinting nation's most popular sport, that draws the majority of athletes (because where's the $$$$ in track?), where athletes train their speeds to run in heavy padding...

you think trindon holliday's the only fast guy in football?

A kid at a hs combine i was at ran multiple hand timed 4.2's so I dont doubt the Raider player was timed at 4.18 at a combine before. I just dont think it could have been the NFL combine.

And this is why they don't do Nativity scenes in Chalmette--it's too hard to find three wise men.

they say .15 of a second is the advantage of starting on your own rather than a gun start.
so bolt runs a 4.20 by this theory.

Although a hip injury severely impaired his professional career, Jackson was the first athlete to be named an All-Star in two major sports.[1] Before his professional career, he earned the 1985 Heisman Trophy, the prize annually awarded to the most outstanding collegiate football player in the United States. He also ran a 4.12 40 yard dash, still considered the fastest verifiable 40 time at an NFL Combine.[

didnt think bo ran it at the combine but they say he ran the fastest timed 40 ever.
