Yes, he is infallible. I actually disagree with him more often than not, but people in this thread are calling him an idiot while being oblivious to whom they're talking to. (which is even funnier now since he was hired by the Cubs)

Kris Bryant won't hit near 300 at the major league level while striking out at his current rate. Notorious hacker George Springer struck out 4-5% less than Bryant at AAA while having a slightly higher walk rate. Just keep telling yourself he doesn't have a strikeout problem.

That's really not a bad point to make at all. But just because George Springer didn't follow his minor league track doesn't mean Bryant won't. It also doesn't mean that Springer can't adapt, either.

We won't know jack shite for certain until we're 10 years down the road.

I don't see anyone calling him an idiot...just disagreeing that he'll bat .250.

And i also don't see where people were clueless as to his qualifications. In fact the poster who initially took (his words) 'umbrage' to it acknowledged the possibility of who it was.

Who has said this?

Are you going to make everyone's argument for them then refute it. Making it a bit easy on yourself if that's the case.

Go read the responses to him talking about Travis Wood last year or Jake Arietta recently.

If you think he's going to hit in the neighborhood of 300 you are indeed saying this. Unless he hits 70 bombs (SPOILERS: he won't) he will not be in the vicinity of 300 at his current strikeout rate.

tweeked his back a bit (stiffness). Nothing serious per all accounts. Expected back friday.

For a masher he's had some unfortunate offdays/injuries. Missing a game in colorado, and now 2 in cincy.

He thinks Arrieta profiles as a 3 which seems contrary to almost every other opinion I have read.

Also, I am aware of Edwin Jackson's stuff, but at some point, the stuff argument can be not be defended after a fricking decade of mediocrity. Jackson is not a 3 unless a 3 means a 2:1 k:bob ratio and a 4.2+ FIP.

I'll still be hoping for him and wood to bounce back/improve/defy the odds though.

Thing of beauty. I hope the Cards get used to watching Baez and Soler costing them games.
