I think it's going to be Soler next.

In theory, Soler would be next because we are not trying to slow down his clock. He is already signed to a 9/36 deal. He is ready when he is ready. Just hope he stays he healthy.

No doubt. Assuming he can get another two weeks or so under his belt without getting hurt. and certainly if Iowa doesn't look to make the post season.

Listening to 670, and Speigel & Mannely were interviewing the punters @ Bourbonnais. The punters were like, "It's about damn time punters get some love!" As soon as he said that, Bruce Levine interrupted the interview dropping the Baez nugget.

The punter, sounding defeated, was like, "Okay, that's some pretty big news, even though it's a minor leaguer..."

Someone teased this last week, and BN discussed it today, but baez changes agents and gets called up. Obviously this is natural progression, but i'm wondering if an extension isn't on the horizon.

Hearing it's unlikely that Addison Russell moves up to AAA this season. Probably wraps up year at AA then plays in an offseason league.

MLB.com's Prospect of the Month for July is Jorge Soler.

MLB.com's Prospect of the Week is Kris Bryant.

It's getting to the point where it's fricking hilarious how good the farm system is, and how amazingly stacked the MLB Top Prospects List is with Cubes.

Iowa is playing Omaha right now on CST. Bryant has a 2-RBI double. Olt also has a 2-RBI double.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I know he will most likely struggle. I just hope we can see a AAA-like progression in Chicago as he hopefully adjusts.
