Aside from the Ewing Years (plus supporting thugs) in which the Knicks won NOTHING..,,the Knicks have been dogshit my entire life.

No shock that the Lakers had the most nationally televised games. LeBron’s first season with the league’s most storied franchise. People tune in for that.

Most people thought Boston was going to be incredible, so not surprising that they got a ton of games.

Golden State, Houston, Philly are all obvious.

After that? OKC, Toronto, Milwaukee, Portland, and NOLA made up the rest of the top 10. For the most part, the nba’s national schedule is very fair across the board.

It’s really not. I was pleasantly surprised at how people outside of New Orleans viewed New Orleans.

Where? Lol. Literally everyone I’ve ever met thinks of it exactly like that. Good for a weekend booty call but never someone you’d wanna settle down with.

Outside the state of Georgia. People who know that there is more to New Orleans than one tourist trap.

Gonna chime in here to say I liked New Orleans when I visited. Probably wouldn't live there mostly because I don't trust cities below sea level but other then that it's a cool city

This guy is not educated. Lol

And you can’t do anything but feel bad for people that just don’t know what they’re talking about. It happens. Learn a bit. You’ll be ok.

REPORTER: Is it right that a team like the Pelicans can win the lottery after what it did to Anthony Davis.

BARKLEY: You people, I swear. You are so biased against small market teams.

REPORTER: I see...so, who has a better chance of making the playoffs next year—the Lakers or the Knicks?

Refresh my memory when did those teams get the #1 pick again?

The national media treated new Orleans and the Pels like a cheap slut who's ok for the occasional hookup (Super Bowl, All-Star game), bet certainly no one you'd get serious about.

Huh? They slobber all over NOLA football. They are critical of NOLA basketball for obvious reasons. 99% of Pelicans “fans” cannot name the starting five. This is not a basketball city. Without Katrina creating sympathy NOLA would not have a team. OKC showed more support for a transient team than NOLA did for their own team. I am all for a good argument on media bias, but NOLA is lucky to even have a team.

Just like they supported the legendary Pistol Pete before losing the franchise to Utah ( before the subsidies when NBA teams moved more frequently)? Just keep taking this subsidies from the earners like L.A., Chicago ,NY & the Bay & crapping on them I guess.

Find me a franchise where 99% of the fans can name the starting five and I’ll be impressed. Maybe Golden State when they were starting five all stars, but even then I’d be pretty surprised.

Again, you whining that those franchises operating in the black should be given a red carpet in every negotiation with small markets is stupid. Those big markets don’t exist (at least not to nearly the extent they currently do) without these smaller markets. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship.

So if LA wants to flex because they’re LA, it’s not on the smaller markets to shut up and let them do whatever they want. They don’t get to operate without criticism.

You misunderstand me. I'm not intimating that conspiracies are always afoot. I'm saying there IS a bias towards bigger markets in the media, and with the power FAs have, it puts smaller markets even more behind the 8 ball than they traditionally already are.

Well you picked the wrong example Spurs fan when you whined about Kawhi Leonard who shocked both fans & media with his decision to leave S.A. His behavior & decision was roundly criticized.

Durant is still suffering blowback from fans & media for leaving OKC for the Bay.

And while there was constant speculation about Porzingas leaving the largest market & Durant,Klay , Butler, Irving etc...leaving large markets .....I don't hear much about Westbrook leving OKC , Giannis leaving Milwaukee or Kawhi leaving S.A.( before he shocked/ angered the media).

Your head is so far in the sand if you don’t think superstars are encouraged to seek greener pastures, which is 99% of the time a large market.

Kawhi won a championship with arguably the most successful franchise in the sport over the last 25 years. Of course no one is going to suggest he leave. KD has another superstar with him in OKC. They nearly got to the finals themselves. No shock that people didn’t tell him to leave.

But once there’s blood in the water, you better believe everyone is going to push for those players to end up in LA or NYC, despite those two franchises being among the five worst in the league for the last decade.

No, but for fricks sake the shitty Lakers and Knicks probably had triple the appearances on television.

And the Lakers/ LeBron had far more threads here as well . How many threads here have been about the Lakers / LeBron opposed to the Bucks or the Nuggets ? Then you criticize the media for covering the franchise that you all most want to discuss/view
