It’s all a joke. The only answer is to not have a salary cap and allow unlimited transfers. The problem is college football does not have a draft which means the governing body can not punish a cheating team by taking away picks. That’s the only reason the pros follow the rules. In college you will always have 10% of teams willing to cheat because it’s worth it.

I’m sure they’ll eventually put in a cap and then teams will be turning each other in every week. We see it now. All kinds of claims of tampering outside the portal and yet there is no investigative or punishment action going on - so why wouldn’t everyone tamper? That’s what will have with a cap.

TV execs built the sport. Seriously, does anyone want to go back to the days where you have 2 games each Saturday available in your viewing area?

All this whining is just over the top and makes this board sound like one from teen vogue with a bunch of 14 year old girls.

I love being able to sit on my couch in South Georgia and watch any game in the entire country. I love seeing more teams in a real playoff system. I love that the players now have more choices and offers than ever before which allows more competition. This sport is awesome.

All this whining ultimately comes down to one thing - having to learn new players names each year. Big whoop.

That’s definitely a take but you do realize 98% would disagree with you. The old days aren’t coming back. They were only glamorous in your mind. The reality is the minute your family bought a TV they turned the radio off. The minute they got a color TV the old black and white went to another room.

So, do you listen to Missouri games on the radio or watch them on TV? Something tells me you watch instead of listen.

Not everyone gets to go to a SEC or P4 school. Who do you want them to root for?

Because the best teams change. Sure, certain schools dominated the bagman era which is is why people in their 60’s and 50’s think theses schools are some how inherently different. The secret is they aren’t. Indiana just proved that. The sport has been rigged for decades with under the table money buying recruits thus creating the illusion that somehow the water in Tuscaloosa, Columbus, or Athens is special. It’s not and Cignetti ripped the mask off the wizard.

You are going to see a lot of different teams now jump up and win because they can openly spend. That’s why the SEC is rolling out the corpse of Saban to try and influence a bunch of corpses in Congress. Sure, the SEC will still get its share of good players but with every year that passes the next generation of players moves past the heyday of the SEC. The SEC hasn’t had a team in the Natty for 3 years. That isn’t a coincidence. That’s called karma and other teams now using money. Y’all better be jock riding UGA because they are the only SEC team with any chance at a Natty this year.
