I mean is a "second tier FA" going to be better than Okafor?

no

it's possible, but you'd have to gamble (like with villenueva)

Okafor is better than anyone the Hornets could have gotten in the future with cap space(assuming we had dealt TC and Peja). I can't see how this is a bad move.

I agree.

Okafor's worst season is better than TC's best

t just seems like, on both sides, this came out of nowhere, and goes against what were formerly laid out plans for both clubs.

now if shinn somehow morphed into paul allen its a good move

The market has been on a tear recently.

I also think that, after a couple of weeks of talking, Shinn/Bower might have realized there was little chance they could get under the lux tax without a huge dump, which would submarine the team, so they decided to try and make a move. Just a thought.

Lets hope not. JuJu starting and Peja coming of the bench is a move that would make me want to keep Byron for another year.

and i think we STILL should package our expirings this year or next year to get a 2 who can slash

me too. we have roughly 11.6 million bucks in expirings. we have to move them this year for someone, and if it works out, we might be able to put a solid team on the floor if peja isnt terrible

cp3/west/okafor

>>>

cp3/west/chandler

there is no denying it and that is a pretty good core to work with

one thing about okafor, he is FAR more active than chandler

Can he run the floor at all, or will that be the end of the alley-oops? (others notwithstanding)

Thats a pretty good core.

Dont forget that okafor is still pretty young. Hes 4 days older than chandler. So Okafor still might have a little upside still in him.

No more Chandler = no more Pryzbilla dominating the Hornets

I dont know if anybody else know this....But Okafor worked a lot running the pick and roll with Charlotte. He had a lot of alley oops thrown to him and scored with more ease that TC.

I wonder what else will be involved in this deal.. perhaps we could rid ourselves of Antonio Daniels
