To the extent that Clemson can in that one game? No they can’t.

Clemson is the best team in the country and i really don’t think it’s close

Injuries are part of the game and not a good excuse. That’s like saying Alabama would have its full roster of LBs for the playoff run therefore discounting the loss to AU. Every school in the country can play some variation of the “this person was hurt” argument.

Ok. Clemson's not as good as Syracuse. Is that better? Do you actually believe that?

Not sure the SEC CG matters much for Bama.

It does...because if Georgia rolls Auburn, Bama has no shot.

Auburn has to roll Georgia...Bama, climbs right back in...Saban on Gameday...saying, we only lost to the SEC Champ...

"I think we deserve another shot at Auburn...you know when we played them we were hurt and some of our players didn't play as well as they should have and that's not really fair to our program and our process...I think not taking into consideration all those factors and the fact that we got called for a holding penalty in the Iron Bowl - proves that this playoff isn't fair."

It doesn’t really matter who wins the SEC championship. Bama needs Oklahoma or Wisconsin to lose to get in. Winner of Aub/UGA is in and the loser is automatically out. SEC championship means nothing for Bama’s hopes of getting in.

Starting QB was hobbled the first half and out the entire second half. Starting kicker out. Star running back missed the 4th quarter. Clemson lost by 3. They would not have lost that game with Bryant playing in the second half. The team that lost to Syracuse is not the same team that's in the Top 4. Clemson's close to being 100% healthy at the right moment.

You're scenario should be AU and Clemson / Bama and Oklahoma. Revenge game for Bama for Sugar Bowl and AU would become the first team in the history of college football to play 3 teams twice in one season (UGA, Clemson, Bama).

If you judge alabama without linebackers they dont get into the playoffs.

Since people discount clemson loss due to qb injury, you have to take bama down a notch until lbs return.

Anyone whining about Clemson or Alabama losing players to injury can stuff it.
Wisconsin lost their all American linebacker before the first game. Also lost their top receiver from last year. Also lost their best receiver from this year and starting strong safety (who beat 2 top 2 teams a year ago) and another starting linebacker.
Oh yeah and Watt graduated early. Imagine what this defense could have had with 2 more all American players and 2 more additional starters.

The beauty is the Badgers have keep plugging guys in and they have been productive.

I will just go with my wishful thinking:

1. Clemson
2. Auburn
3. Oklahoma
4. Alabama

Auburn vs. Alabama in the National Title game

That's laughable. How many losses did Pitt have before last Friday?

Are we going by who "deserves" to be 1 or who we think would win right now?

I would say Clemson probably deserves to be 1 because they beat Auburn.

But I think Auburn is the best team right now and would beat the other 3. (assuming a healthy Johnson)

Essentially the same Top 8 as the AP.

I expect it to look exactly like that tomorrow night.

LOL Alabama was ahead of Miami and lost on the road to Auburn. Miami lost to a 4-7 Pitt team and you're gonna jump Miami over Alabama?
