If we're being honest, this whole CFP committee really is a clown show
Exactly. The best thing they could’ve ever done was include the CFP committee into the BCS rankings to come up with the top 4.

I'd take that bet.
Auburn's recent history against us isn't the best.
Is probably matchup UF against y'all. Auburn v Michigan is a more favorable matchup for LSU's schedule.

Good thing the games are not played on computers, eh?
fricking metrics.
fricking metrics.

Hard to tell much from bowl season, but Kosmo's favorite predictive stats say Alabama is #3, Auburn is #6, and UF is #7.
Wisconsin is #9, Penn State is 10, and Michigan is #13. (FPI)
SP+ also says LSU has two better wins than anything Ohio State has.
SP+:
Penn State would be a 5 point dog to UGA, a pick em with Florida, and favored over Auburn by 2.
Wisconsin would be a 7 point dog to UGA, 2 point dog to Florida, and a pick em with Auburn. Essentially the same with Michigan.

These are always fun.
A1abama would be 7-5 with Michig8n's schedule.
I'm just using the same advanced metrics the CFP uses.

Yea let’s rely on a bunch of ego driven clowns and their “eye test” to tell us who are the top 25.

So am I.

So you’re admitting the sec teams would be favored in the majority of those matchups?

quote:Necessary evil. If we went with computers only with a 4-team playoff, undefeated Florida State is shut out in 2014 over four teams with one loss each. If we can find a way to get to 8—which would be far harder than it was to go from 2 to 4—computers can be trusted not to snub the 2014 Florida States of the world.
The whole committee thing was an asinine idea in the first place.

I'm not saying all 3 are better than all 3 for OSU, I'm sayinging LSU's best win is better than OSU's, second best is better, and 3rd best is better, hence the reason they'd go 3-0 in this hypothetical that will never be tested.

According to SP+.
FEI would have the B1G teams favored more often but is harder to calculate by how much.
Posted on 12/3/19 at 7:43 pm to KosmoCramer
FPI would favor all 3 SEC teams against any of Ohio State's wins.

You're out here using shite like opponent win % as if that shite is all created equal.
I use opponent win% against opponents’ opponents’ win%

Beating a 11-1 team and a 1-11 team isn't in the same vicinity as beating two 6-6 teams. Hogwash.

I know, I'm just adding predictive metrics to the conversation.

Just go with the BCS and frick all this shite.

quote:Ok, so like I said, every time a ranked team lost to #1 or top 3 or 5 this season, did they drop only 1 spot?
And like I said, #13 got killed by #1. Does that mean they are worse than the 14-15-16-17 etc etc however many teams?
