my guess is being able to move the ball and landing on the ground still with control, than it being ripped out, is enough for the catch. I'm no rules expert but if that isn't a catch, there is a major issue with the rules.

I think it’s safe to say Kalen DeBoer is the man for the job. Byrne should roll that extension out ASAP.

If I were Oklahoma, I’d be hitting the portal for a QB1. Mateer has single handily lost them this game. And that’s taking nothing from Bama for fighting back like they did. But Mateer flat sucks.

You have a point with being consistent with calls they are not, but being able to move the football freely and than the ball being ripped out is enough to be a catch.

I'm conflicted. He hit a WR in the hands to go up 24-7. WR drops it, and the game just turned on its head after the punter inexplicably just drops the ball.
Mateer played well enough through the first 26 minutes to win this game outright.
