The committee should have done what they do in basketball and try to avoid rematches or conference games in round 1. Switch bama and miami and flip flop tulane and James Madison.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a QB regress more in a season than Simpson.
Sure, you can just say he was never good in the first place. Or maybe defenses have figured out to just drop a lot of guys in coverage. Either way he’s completely terrible now and as a result Bama pretty much can’t win games unless they hold opponents under 14 points. It’s a lot to ask of a defense that is good, but not great.
