At the behest of King Chicken, our lord and savior, I’ll start a weekly discussion thread for those who would find if difficult to navigate a season long one, even with directions on where each week’s discussion begins.

Weekly Lines at Vegasinsider

I’m sitting at 7-3 through week 1 at +10.67 U.

I’m already on Boise State -16.5

Other week 2 possibles for me
Kansas St -7.5
Arkansas -8.5
Pittsburgh +7
Washington St +17.5
Navy +7
WVU -13
Syracuse -22.5
Boston College +3
Michigan -51.5
Mississippi St -11.5

UNC is only favored by 7 @ Georgia State? I might have to tune into this one.

Week 2 picks:
Oklahoma St/Arizona St o54.5

South Carolina eventually pulled away at home vs Georgia State.

UNC was up 41-21 on App state, and then the 4th quarter happened.

App State is a much better team than GSU but it’s called gambling and nothing is a sure thing.

Looking back at last year…

In W7, I started looking at team and individual stats and incorporating them into the weekly picks.

W7: 19-10
W8: 17-18
W9: 21-13
W10: 20-14
W11: 17-12
W12: 19-15

It was a frick ton of picks but ended a 6 week run of 113-82 (58%). I’ll start looking at these stats again after week 4 to let things shake out a bit.

I already put money on Bama -20
UT-6.5
UK ML

Don't feel as great on UK anymore. Is a game against Utah any more perfect to prepare for Kentucky? Those are a couple very similar teams

It's bizarre to me that WVU is only 13.5 favorites against Kansas. West Virginia looked reasonably decent against Pitt last Thursday. Does Vegas think Kansas is that much better?

I think it’s a Lance Leipold effect for Kansas getting that low line.

Gotta go back to the well with Bama -10.5 1H and -20 for the game. Also O64.5

A&M -19.5
TT/Houston O63.5
Michigan -51 (obligatory vs Hawaii)
Wisconsin/WSU U49.5
Auburn -23
Arizona +11

I like a few more, waiting to see the line movements.

This is one of my favorite games of the week from a betting perspective. State is underrated. Their defense is nasty and Rogers keeps getting better, now being in his third year of the system. Vegas set Zona’s win total at 2.5 for a reason. 45-17 type of game. Memphis would beat Arizona by 21+ and State embarrassed them last week

UCF -6.5 vs Louisville

UL got smashed 7-37 last week vs Syracuse. UCF did as expected in a cupcake warmup against South Carolina State 51-10.

Also like John Rhys Plumlee (Former Ole Miss QB/WR/RB) over 51.5 yards rushing. Plumlee at QB had 16 carries for 100 yards vs SCST, while Louisville gave up 94 yards on 16 carries against the Syracuse QB last week. (Prop bet stolen from Twitter/Action App)
