NCAA: you can’t transfer. You can’t pay players.

Congress: you can transfer. You can pay players.

Fans: frick you NCAA!

Players were paid then too

It’d be cool if they could play defense though

I’m surprised the bubble hasn’t popped. I don’t watch anymore and I was a hardcore fan. It’s hard to believe I’m the only one that has moved on.

12 team playoff, only allowing 1 D1 transfer per undergraduate, unless exemption of coach getting fired or leaving, moving signing day until February and you can’t declare for the draft until after bowl season would fix everything.

Is at least 33%, but likely 50% too many

The only thing about this is most people only include the head coach in this. What about assistants and position coaches? Players actually spend more time with those guys and can also be a reason players commit to certain schools and would likely like to follow them as well when they change jobs. But those coaches are revolving doors and giving only certain positions or sides of the ball transfer passes would be weird and unfair.

So I don't really like the exception for coaching changes. You should get 1 free undergrad transfer and 1 free grad transfer. Use them wisely as otherwise you need to sit out a year or transfer to a lower level. Should be more than enough for 5 years once the last of the covid years are passed.

50% too many is right on. But it’s all about money. Money, money, money.

It’s almost unwatchable like the nfl because of officiating.

This video never gets old....

Images of the Decade

"Big time players step-up in big games, that's all I gotta say!"

Now they opt-out or transfer.

Agreed. The golden age ended the moment Bama was given the rematch. It shattered the illusion that every game counted.
