To be more precise, Cal doesn't appear to be serious about the revenue sports. Stanford, USC, UCLA, and Cal (in that order I think) produce the most Olympic athletes of any schools. (This includes athletes who compete in the Olympics for other countries.)

Between that decision to try a FG and his refusal to go for two vs CU Norvell just seems to have awful situational awareness.
