From a Buckeye Fan perspective:

1) OSU passes eye test

2) OSU 12-1 vs FBS schools while TCU & Baylor 9-1

3) OSU & Baylor beat 2 current ranked teams TCU just 1.

4) OSU has best SOS now

5) OSU has brand name

6) OSU' have beat as many Bowl eligible teams as TCU & Baylor has wins over FBS schools

I feel good.

I have a feeling OSU is in. Don't agree with it based on last week's rankings, but it is what it is.

And? What's not flawed? A 64 team tourney? Wait, that's flawed too. The BCS formula selecting the top 4 is a better solution than a committee of 'VIPs' deciding.

What the frick is with this ESPN Poll: "Which team should be No. 4 in the final College Football Playoff rankings?" Do they know who was #3 last week?

Osu is getting in because it's a lot easier than the committee sticking their neck out and picking one of the big 12 teams.

Which is fine I guess.

I have been saying for years, let's do a 4 team playoff with the BCS formula deciding it. Seems too simple.

It is quite obvious to me, why a committee was added. Simply cronyism and match-up making. The BCS did well enough finding the top teams. I mean, you go from a tested formula with a large amount of inputs, human and computer, to a hodge podge group of a dozen people.

I also do not understand the confusion over being able to move TCU around.

1) I have seen people asking for fluid rankings for years, where the team at the top doesn't stay at the top just by winning. Well, this is what fluid rankings look like. There is no precedent, last weeks rankings do not affect this weeks.

2) The committee has said they will evaluate TCU/Baylor when the schedules were even. There was always a reason they were uneven, bye week, not playing K State. Now that the schedules are even, I expect them to reevaluate.

3) The committee has already tried to shock your senses and prepare you for any changes that they want to make in the final poll. It started by pushing FSU to 3. Then fans and talking heads started justifying FSU at 3 and saying how they could see it making sense. So, the committee had to go a step further and jump TCU up two spots and ahead of FSU, despite FSU winning. I did not see as many agreeing with FSU at 4, as they did with FSU at 3. The talk was more, well FSU can only blame themselves. This set the stage for moving teams around as they wish.

If Ohio State doesn't get in, they have no one to blame but themselves. They lost to Virginia Tech at home.

This is what I agree with. If the committee puts FSU at 4 again, they need to just come out and say it is for match-up making/ location.
