There should be a 6-8 team playoff. Would eliminate any issues.

Then you just have the same issues with the 8th/9th best teams.

My biggest issue with the whole thing is letting humans decide everything.

I think FSU and Bama will be placed that they will be matched up regardless of the location in the semifinal.

Gets TV ratings...

If OSU gets in AND jumps FSU, the committee is a joke

All conference champs are in then. That's one of the biggest problems now.

I think Big 12 commish would have gone all in with Baylor if it was an 8 team playoff

Yep, TCU is ranked #3, wins 55-3, and is now going to drop at least two spots?

FSU is not getting left out period. The problem is the committee has no damn good reason for dropping TCU out of the Top 4, and it will probably happen anyway.

Does it matter?

I'm not trying to be an arse, but to win you have to beat 2 very good teams. It's either FSU/Bama or FSU/Oregon

Agreed. But I'm saying that if TCU gets dropped three spots AND FSU stays at four with OSU going to three, the committee becomes a joke in the first year

Not all of them

If they expand they'll have to bring in G6 teams and Indy teams. They'll leave it at 4 because of 3 reasons

If their argument is they rerank weekly based on the new resume, it's justified to an extent.

Problem is they publish rankings too early.

Yep, which is why the BCS worked. It allowed for humans to have their 'eye test' while computers assessed the real data.

I have been saying for years, let's do a 4 team playoff with the BCS formula deciding it. Seems too simple.

I think Bama is the best team right now--granted not by a wide margin. I'd much rather play Oregon/TCU/OSU first.

FSU

No surprise here.

I will feel no sympathy for TCU if they're left out. It would simply be the equivalent of what happened to us in '07. I think FSU should be 3 and Baylor should be 4. Baylor has the best win of the 3 teams, is the rightful Big 12 champion and has the better loss between them and OSU. I wouldn't be upset if OSU gets in over Baylor. But if TCU is one of the 4 teams, then it will be ridiculous.

I imagine they'd move FSU up and move Ohio State in behind them.

Over a 2-10 ISU team for fricks sake

FSU wins over a top 20 GT team. Completes undefeated season. No reason why they shouldn't move ahead.

OSU defeats #13 59-0.

Baylor defeats a top 10 KSU. Previously beat TCU

To me, TCU is out the equation completely.

Im not buying the Oregon is a bad matchup for FSU. FSU is a physically tough team on defense, one of the types that Oregon has struggled with over the years.

FSU has just as many, if not more athletes, than Oregon does, and their defense has not faced a QB as good as Jameis is (despite Jameis' new found propensity to throw INTs).
