I mean 17-0 keep momentum vs 21-0 is the second quarter? Either way the game isn’t really over so why not just keep playing keep your focus and momentum instead of gifting the opposition a free chance they don’t deserve to gain momentum for no reason? Dumb dumb dumb DUMB.

The team with Shough two years ago was like 2 possessions away from the playoffs. That was a tough team (that gave us all we could handle in South Bend - the year we went to the title game) that just kept screwing itself over in high leverage situations (against us, against an SMU team that made the playoffs, against the Cam Ward Miami team) and then went on to blow an all time dumb loss to Stanford when they were up 10 with 3 minutes to go.
