Arizona State because I spent part of my my childhood in AZ. Michigan for pretty much the same reasons as supadave, right down to the best fried.

Other than them I always liked Nebraska. The whole Blackshirts defense and Big Red was pretty cool. Always loved watching OU - Nebraska games while Keith Jackson was announcing. Because of that rivalry I became a Billy Sims fan, he was an amazing player back then for OU.

Besides Air Force, I always had an interest and was a fan of OU during the Barry Switzer era. The games with the Huskers w/Keith doing the play-by-play were classics.

Va Tech- I like Frank Beamer
Rice- tailgating at UH sucks and I would love to have a good Rice team in town...
Oregon- While I am glad that Bama doesn't do it, I dig the uniform changes each year or big game. Style of play is fun too.
Virginia- classy school that deserves to win more...

I should i love AFA, just really respect the service academies generally and AF is my favorite branch

FSU, mostly because of Warrick Dunn.

I've always liked them since.

Always pulled for Texas Tech.

Works out, because my gf is a TT grad. But I pulled for them long before I met her.

She has no std's

The only one that I can't explain is Clemson. I should dislike them since they want to claim Death Valley is in SC.
There are several other teams through the other conferences I will openly root for to win the conference, but I have what are good reasons to me, like family or the coach.
Even though I do kind of like Clemson and loved that beat Va Tech twice last year, I will always first hope UVA and Miami do better.
A month after UVA's last ACC title I moved into a UVA family
Big 12, I have always rooted for TT, since that was my uncles alma mater. Have a choice now, 2 aunts both graduated from TCU

I am really surprised at this thread, I have always loved the Ducks, I have a few t-shirts and hats I have collected over the years. Nike, color scheme, just a cool program.

Virginia Tech, Always liked their unique color scheme and mascot. Lane Stadium.

Wyoming and Northwestern, played like 5 season long NCAA dynasties with these two,
Love the BROWN uniforms

Nebraska, Tommie Frazier, Sea of Red, and now Bo Pelini.

UGA has been the only other SEC school I really pull for on a weekly basis, made some good friends from their over the years.

Dammit I could go on forever, I just love college football. Good thread.

In all honesty I support whoever is playing USC, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Miami, Notre Dame etc. Thats what makes college football so great, we all have our teams, and root like hell for the underdogs.

Nebraska... I guess I can kind of explain it, but not many kids in South La sporting a Nebraska start jacket in the 80s.

So how long did you laugh after James Madison? I had my Mom mail me the Richmond paper from that Sunday. I always loved the Frank Beamer "Well shite" face
