Brandon Bravata is a great hire for St. Amant and he was my guess to get the job. Him and his wife's families live in Maurepas so it allows them to move close to home.
I believe he will have a lot of success there and be there for a long time.

I wonder if he's still going charge parents for tryouts. He always stuck to his 14 majors team where he pulls kids from Carencro to Pass Christian. Now that he can only play who enrolls at Central should give some perspective to his credibility as a high level coach.

You think he's going to get kids from Mississippi to play at Central?

Have you ever thought of the fact that there is a reason kids are coming from Carencro to Pass Christian to play for the man? Also, there is talent in Central- one of the reasons why they won 2 strait 5A State Championships. As a matter of fact there are 7 kids on Centrals team right now that have played for Leo.

Called it.

I don't think you understand what he's saying. He's saying Leo has kids from various areas playing travel ball on his 14u majors team. In travel ball, you are not restricted to who is in your area to get them to play for you. You can recruit, or, some parents recruit for you and talk to other parents to get them to go play with a team.
Leo will have to be successful with the kids who enroll at Central.

But he isn't competing against teams that can enroll kids from that wide a range.

Aaron Vice could do the job.

Agreed. But he also won't have them on his team. It's much easier to win when you play with a loaded deck.

Just hoping they can go a little further in the watered down split football playoffs for the mental health of Centralites. They’ll be hanging their hat on those baseball ships for the next few decades.

I was talking to a friend about the firing of Templet at St. Amant and he thinks we’re too talented and we are underperforming as a program under Templet. I on the other hand think we’re not that talented and were actually over performing a lot of the times under Templet. Anyone else who follows high school baseball, how much talent do you think is at St. Amant and should St. Amant have made deeper runs than they did under Templet?

Not a baseball coach....

Yep. Had Enlow and lots of other talented players including a kid who plays at Southeastern right now. Those were definitely Templet’s most talented teams, the 2016 and 2017 teams. His 2014 team was his best team, even though they didn’t have the talent to match the 2016 and 2017 teams, they played harder and played better as a team than the teams Enlow was on

It was time for Templet to go. Stale coaching, did not motivate the players, and did not put much time or effort into the actual coaching aspect of his job as a "coach".

Wrong again, Forbes has a son on 14AAA Tigers. Yes he is his step-son, but I was right, you
