I always enjoyed watching a Saturday or Sunday round on CBS. I think they have a great team and I always enjoyed the banter between Feherty and McCord. I will miss that. I'm sure Feherty will take a more prominent role with NBC or FOX and it won't be as good as having the team the CBS had.

I'm a huge golf fan but find myself watching two players hit a shot and the watching a commercial. I know other players might not be able to win but show a few more shots. This is a general statement about golf coverage. Feherty is a huge supporter of the troops and has a great personality.

This pisses me off. Feherty's great and breaks up the stiffness that comes with a lot of the broadcasts.

It had to boil down to money. NBC & FOX don't do that many events. I'd rather see him end up at the Golf Channel.

Once, one of the other boring announcers was commenting about one tree on the course being larger than the rest and wonder why this was/happened. Feherty replied "Maybe it had more ambition". I almost shite myself laughing. Don't think the other guy really caught the subtle dig at his stupid ponderings.
ETA: Just because you don't get his humor, only makes him unfunny to you.

Fuc* CBS for this. At least Feherty could get the players to actually talk after rounds b/c they like him. Hell, even TW will answer Feherty's questions.

NBC and Golf Channel are under the same umbrella. He would work events for both. If he joins NBC, he'd be doing the British Open with them/GC so that would be great.

This. Directv shows the British Feed for the British Open and it is awesome. Very little talking and analysis. They figure if you are watching it on TV then you should have a good understanding of what's going on so they don't spoon feed u every little detail. Plus they don't get stuck on the "sideshow"stories of the tournament.
