Gordon's having a career year?
I don't think you realize how good he's playing.
He's averaging 17 ppg off the bench... about 20.0 ppg per 36.
His TS% is 59.6% which is the highest of his career by a sizable margin.
He's shooting 43.1% from 3, which is the 2nd highest of his career... but he's also taking 8.1 attempts per game compared to 5.2 attempts a couple seasons ago when he shot his best percentage. 9.5 attempts per 36 compared to 5.6 attempts then.
He looks unstoppable right now. And he's even playing some good defense. I cannot believe this is the same player who Pelicans fans talked so much crap about.

Last year was a different season. Different squad. HOU wasn't a regular season team last year. But after having the worst season imaginable last year efforts have been refocused on taking care of business in the regular season. New year. New outlook. 60 wins.

Spurs are the best team right now.
Nah. Spurs have been pretty average the last several weeks. They've won games, but have not been a dominant team. They will figure it out when spring rolls around like they always do. They won't be title favorites, but they will surely be a title contender. Makes it fun to be a spurs fan.

Point differential doesn't change its significance based on the squad Houston has

Best of luck to y'all rejoining The Pride of the Great Lone Star State in the race for the division crown

Way too much uncertainty coming into the year to tab SA as title faves. Pop's found a way to keep the wins coming even with all the new faces, but we'd need a few breaks (a la 2007) or unforseen gelling to make a serious run this season, IMO.
We'd basically have to pull a 2003 Spurs. That team wasn't supposed to win a ring at all

The defense has been an issue. Along with first quarter scoring. I think they have been the lowest scoring 1st quarter team over the last 10 games. It seems like several times I've seen Pop pull ALL FIVE starters within 3 minutes of tipoff.

Wut
He was the main piece in the CP3 deal and was oft injured and not the player he was in LAC. He was counted on to be the guy
A little different when he's called the be a jump shooting role player on a team w the best space creator in the L

Houston's offense is +14 points better when Harden is OFF the floor, believe it or not, and Gordon is the main catalyst of that.

You guys just have to hope that the injuries don't happen
I've always like Ryno and wanted him to stay, but his price was high. Gordon was up and down but developed a nice three point shot over the years, just couldn't get back to how promising he was early in his career.

Yep from the owner to gm to mike and on to harden everybody is on the same page. Last year was a disaster they pulled the trigger on mchale too soon but they are better off today bc of it.

The Grizz are 17-8. That is pretty remarkable.
As usual, nobody talking about the Griz. On a 6 win streak without Parsons or Conley. Their new coach is in the running for COTY so far.

That's bc Memphis hasn't ever been a contender. They are what they are. A good regular season team with a really low ceiling.

The defensive struggles piss me off. We've been spoiled with Timmy anchoring things for so long
But yeah the starters really do have a short leash.

"Without Parsons" is a phrase they'll probably get very familiar with.

they ain't won shite since we said their window was closed. We called them frauds all last season and we saw how that turned out.
You were also crowning the Clippers earlier this year and they've quickly come back to earth.

Clips > Spurs. Pretty clearly IMO. Don't reckon I crowned anybody anyways brotha.

Crowned is over the top but I think they're going to end up a good bit behind the Warriors and Spurs. I wasn't as enamored with their quick start as you and some others were.
You might be right about the Clips but they're already two games back of SA even after the amazing start. This team should get worse as they hit some of their typical injury issues. You may end up being right though.
