I'd be absolutely surprised if that squad can't beat Boston.

Yeah, I don't think it goes past 6 games. Boston just needs more firepower. Their offense has been terrible since mid december.

And I think the closing playoffs line-up could be Hill, Clarkson, Hood, LeBron, Love,

Great offensively. Defense will still be really bad, but I really like what Cleveland did. I still think it's interesting that Windhorse said Lebron wasn't consulted on the moves. I think it's normal, but interesting that he put that out there.

Cleveland did really well today. They made moves to show Lebron that they are trying to win now, but they didn't shite the bed by trading that Brooklyn pick. They are set up well in the event Lebron bolts in the offseason.

i love this for multiple reasons.

one, you think i give a shite about the cavs and think that i'd be suffering if they lost. i give zero fricks and just love basketball. i'm team agnostic,

two, the idea you think that i, a stranger on the internet would be upset, and on the basis that i like a team that apparently you don't like, that gives you pleasure. what a fricking cocknozzle you are.

It's extra funny when you realize how important it is to him that Lebron teams loses over the years on this board.

Self awareness, he has none.

i think they'll be bad anytime they play love. but i think people are underrepresenting HOW bad the cavs are on defense this year. even middle of the road would be a super huge improvement. they've replaced four rotation players with much better defenders.

the recipe looks like last year. top 5 in offense. mid range defense. eastern conference champions.

i'd also say the new guards match up MUCH better with golden state. hill gave curry problems last playoffs.

Its just all star month.
Plenty of time to introduce new guys to LeBron and for healed love to fit in. Half season left.
Lue makes his career now.
Right now his big moment was getting away with holding a Iverson's wrist - as if defending.

my guess is that the cavs are gonna add one more piece on the buyout market.

joe johnson or tyson chandler is who i'd look at.

trade grades are coming in...

quote:

Suddenly, Cleveland finds itself with an almost entirely new backcourt, having added Hill, Hood and Jordan Clarkson from the Lakers to holdover J.R. Smith. The common themes here are the Cavaliers adding size and shooting on the perimeter. Cleveland's point guard rotation of the 6-foot-3 Hill (who plays even bigger thanks to a 6-foot-9 wingspan) and the 6-foot-5 Clarkson will be one of the league's biggest, while the 6-foot-8 Hood has excellent size for a shooting guard.

Hill actually leads qualifying players by shooting a career-best 45 percent from 3-point range so far this season. That's better than his track record, but he's shot at least 40 percent each of the last three seasons. Meanwhile, Hood is also enjoying his best season in terms of 3-point accuracy, having made 39 percent of his attempts beyond the arc with a career mark of precisely 37 percent. (Clarkson is the exception here, having shot 32 percent on 3s this season and 33 percent career.)

man it's almost like i know what i'm talking about. the cavs got much bigger, longer, and shoot better.

lol at this knee jerk nonsense. cavs are a fricking .600 basketball team with a breka even point differential. fricking Hood and Clarkson arent changing shite when you have Paul/Harden and the Warriors out West.

To be fair he called it as soon as the trades were made. So far it looks like he is spot on.

It’s not knee jerk nonsense if you called it ahead of time. This new team makes sense. The old team had old former superstar players who needed the ball and couldn’t shooot and couldn’t/wouldn’t defend.

The new guys are springy young switchable 3 point shooting high energy players. it doesn’t take a genius to know Lebron knows how to use those types of players.

this team will not take that long to gel. They will be MUCH better than the team that preceded it.
