Take your ball and go form your association.

Oh wait you can’t cuz you need everyone else don’t you and you’ve floated that shite for years and it wouldn’t work would whatever.

You private hacks have earned this. l

They both need each other. You ever wonder why the penalties are retroactive and don’t include moving kids?

And what have they earned. You got the split and vacating titles does nothing but make “recruiting” legal when they don’t punish select schools with real consequences

Being originally from Shreveport And having plenty of friends whose kids go to and went to Byrd I can assure they recruit, it’s just easier when you don’t have to provide tuition assistance. Hell.. they recruited back in the 90’s with all the private and magnet programs

I don’t condone cheating and believe Fertita took this to far and believe they need to refocus on outreach not being athletic first

The whole division (and a good chunk of nonselect) probably does what Catholic did… as such they probably feel like they have to do what they did to compete

Runnels is Eddie Bonines home zone? Surely that can be corroborated

And wouldn’t that be the same zone as Catholic, going against what you said earlier?

Zone was runnels

Zones are for public schools.

Runnels was in Tara's zone (which is basically a star, covers areas you would not think would be in the same zone)

Catholic is in McKinley's zone (McKinley's zone stops at Acadian)

Kid could live 1 street over *east* of Acadian and be out of zone for CHS..but in zone for Dunham, Episcopal and Runnels

Why does it even matter when they have to play only other select schools for the championship? Let all the select schools recruit. It's an even field for them.

Do you really think Jesuit would have gone out and gotten a certain former LSU tiger and catholic bear and let him in, live with a school employee and kept him in school for four years. Not all of the selects want it to be a free for all, reason 11 that they can't go off and form their own association.

Are we now pretending Jesuit doesn’t recruit in the same sense Catholic did here?

Nothing brings out blind bias and the hypocritical nature of humans quite like sports

It’s why I love the rant “BAMA CHEATS SO MUCH!!!”

Meanwhile, LSU raping everybody left and right and are def paying players as well

I am simply saying they wouldn't have gone out and gotten a "student athlete" like him nor allowed him to stay in school.

And yes I firmly believe what those two did over say the past 4 years is incredibly different.

Blind bias sure was on the radio yesterday, either blind bias or he didn't know as much as he thinks he does.

It's amazing how people want the LHSAA to enforce the rules until it happens to their school, then it's the LHSAA and the rules that are the problem.

Deion Jones

If he went to Catholic these last few years everyone would say “oh how did Catholic get that really huge and fast black kid. Wink wink”

But I guess it’s ok and kosher for him to go to Jesuit?

I know you know you’re in South Louisiana. If you’re shocked that a black kid ends up ANYWHERE in the 21st century, you need to get with it.

Im not shocked at all

I just know we would all in here be saying Debo was a clear catholic recruit if he played for catholic the last few years. Just how it is. Anytime a successful black player is at catholic, he is assumed a recruit. Doesnt matter if the kid is a great academic student with a doctor for parents.

Lol you have no clue what you're talking about. Jesuit has directly recruited several African American kids I coached at the middle school level. Unless multiple parents who didn't know each other decided to all come up with the same lie. Heck, you should see the recruiting for girls sports. No one talks about it because no one cares.

So if an unreal athletic kid from Port Allen, who went to the port allen public schools ended up at Catholic people wouldnt be saying he was recruited? Get out of here

Because Debo is a Westbank kid so thats almost the exact scenario

So many club teams are just farm teams for various high schools. You get a parent coach who tries to get the other good kids from that team to follow them to the same high school.

with the split the district classification is meaningless now
catholic is getting in playoffs whether they go winless in district or undefeated in district
Their competition is not anyone else in Baton Rouge
Their competition is primarily in New Orleans where Brother Martin was caught recruiting in Slidell, where John Curtis has recruited for 40 years, where St Pauls played a baseball player out of attendance zone, etc.
They are not competing against the West Monroes, Acadianas, or Barbe particularly in baseball

I’m gonna predict Crescent City’s basketball coach has to quit putting on his “open runs”

Some principal is gonna see that his or her kid was there and they’ll freak
