I have been 100 percent on the money. Not my problem you fail to see it. I have repeated that too many Catholic High people believe the rules don’t apply to them.

Since then, poster after poster (including yourself) have flat out said that these recruiting rules shouldn’t apply to Catholic High. Hell now we are tripling down that Catholic should be recruiting like LSU football.

Once again, nothing of substance. This is another post directed at the posters and not the topic, only coupled with “I’m right”…which you haven’t proven at all.

So once again, go back and answer any of the questions with some intellectual honesty, which as your irrational bias has shown us up to now, you’re incapable of doing.

Which begs the question: when will you post something of value in this thread? I’m going to sleep, but as a Catholic Alum, I care about your well being and will check back with you tomorrow. Stay safe and remember; it’s not your fault.

Nothing but substance in my last post but you’ll never see it because you aren’t intellectually honest (or don’t have the brainpower).

But somehow the violations are being kept secret
Must be nice to have deep pockets.
This is BS
“Catholic High School in Baton Rouge has been sanctioned following a recruiting investigation by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA).
Catholic High won the 2020 State Division I championship in football.
In a vast departure from prior practices, the LHSAA refuses to publicly discuss the sanctions it has levied against the affluent private school.
In the past, the LHSAA held news conferences to discuss sanctions against other area football programs including Southern Lab and McKinley High School.“

To be fair, Many High School wants the LHSAA to play by what it thinks the rules should be

Every private school recruits - it is called competition and it directly affects the caliber of athletics at a school.

And there are rules regarding recruiting and athletics, which every principals, AD and head coach are well aware of.

So one BR institution is allowed to do it, one isnt?

The Lhsaa and NCAA have completely different rules regarding this. Both are allowed to recruit, within the rules of the organization they belong too

Its probably already been asked but I'm not reading through 26 pages of petty jealousy.

What year was it when you didn't get accepted?

I was making a comment, not debating with you.

It’s probably hard for you to understand that with a public school education though.

Why is it illegal for a private school to recruit anyway?

That is a question, not a comment.

Hopefully you were a recruited athlete, and not a regular student.

Rhetorical.

Of course, being a public school student you probably don’t understand that either. It feels like I’m talking to a brick.

Likewise

Regardless, this horse is dead.

The penalties are what they are.

Continue recruiting however y’all want and continue adding up the penalties if you would like.

The gift of a Catholic education and formation cannot be calculated in mere dollars. Catholic High has formed men of integrity in this community since 1894. If anything, the public should be begging the school to expand and open satellite campuses throughout the city. Maybe then we wouldn’t have so many aimless and angry young men causing regular violence in our community.

Laugh out loud, another catholic homer believing they are above everyone else. The delusion is truly hilarious with y’all’s cult.

And no one knows what catholic did to get in trouble, so please stop pretending like you do.

quote:

“Basically there were things going on with some open houses and visibility issues at games, coaches were told hey I want you to go here and do this and I want you to get these kids to an open house,” Trent said. While this punishment stems from numerous recruiting violations, Trent said that more violations could have occurred. “It’s not just recruiting it was other things. I had heard impermissible benefits, I had heard falsifying of documents for kids to have less of a financial burden to come to Catholic and play,” Trent said.

Also, LOL at the poster who thinks CHS should be able to recruit like LSU bc they are in the same city. Figured you big brain CHS grads would be smart enough to know the difference bw the LHSAA and NCAA

Catholic high will continue to make BR a better place for its citizens.

If only LSU, the city and state as a whole, could live up to the Catholic High standard.

[Bonine did add, however, that the sanctions against CHS do not include any post-season bans and no student athletes are being ordered to move or transfer back to “their zoned school of attendance.”] Does the LHSAA have the authority to “order students to move or transfer back to ‘their zoned school of attendance’ “?

No. But they can deny eligibility for the reasons listed in the handbook for actions in the current school year
