So they are sub .500 w/o him? Yeah really great
7-8 is just trash right? Especially considering all those losses came against the Western Conference(games he Knicks would of lost any way)

Melo is the far more valuable player to his team.

But that's not how the award works.
Thankfully. The alternative would hurt a player for playing on a talented team. That just seems stupid.

To the fact the Bucks made the playoffs at 6 games under .500 & the Celtics were 1 game over .500, I feel pretty confident they would still be a playoff team without Carmelo, considering their record without him.

In short spurts teams can play over their head to cover the loss of their star (see the Celts right after Rondo went down), but over the long haul the Knicks would totally break down without Melo.

Take LeBron off the Heat and they are still a top 4 seed.

Put LeBron on the Knicks and they probably go to the Finals.

Good point. Denver turned awful the day Carmelo left.

Ok... With Lebron they're the #1 overall seed, what's your point

I'm a huge Melo fan and think people hate on him too often. However, he's not the MVP of the league in the NBA. It often goes to the best player on the best team. In this case, LBJ also happens to be far and away the best player in the league

I think Melo is a top 5 player, and his D has improved even though others won't admit it, but he has a ways to go to be MVP

A ballstopper should be MVP?

He plays pretty solid on ball defense. He plays no help defense, which is what kills his team, especially since he's defending the 4 so much.
