I loved watching the Steelers beat the Oilers back in the day.

Game wasn't played in Houston so not sure why that matters but I'm sure that your insecurity won't keep you from another one of your stupid and misinformed post.
One of us is upset about a franchise leaving their favorite town. The other is a person telling them they don't wanna be the oilers. Which side are you on?

So the Ravens should wear the Browns uniforms? Is that what you're implying?

And Nashville was a nicer city back then, too.
Yeah no it wasn't. It was a frickin' shithole in the 80s. Downtown didn't start to clean up until the mid 90s.

Maybe McNair can buy the name "Roughnecks" and rebrand since the XFL team is being dropped from the league after the merger with the USFL. Anything is better than that God-awful Texans moniker.
Grew up a Saints fan but side-cheered for the Oilers since they were on tv 95% of the time when the Saints were blacked out.

Nobody in Houston went to the games. Couldn't even watch on local tv due to the sellout rules. They were always blacked out because no one would buy tickets.
This is 100% false outside of the last season when the team already announced they were leaving. They had 70000 at the rally after they lost the AFCCG the 2nd year in a row.

The owners of the Titans do, a lot. It’s why they drafted Vince Young when the coach and OC wanted Leinart. It’s why they wore those uniforms today.
You can “embrace the hate” and “drink the tears” and all the other toxic online awful culture that doesn’t change the fact the Titans ownership is holding a petty grudge against Houston because a long gone mayor and other public officials wouldn’t agree to Bud Adams demands for a new stadium immediately. If they had kept the name all along it would be one thing but holding the name out of spite is just petty. It sucks for fans not just in Houston but football fans in general not to mention the players that never played in Nashville. An owner that petty will never build a serious contender outside of maybe blind luck. So enjoy Nashville and dole out that public money for a new stadium to replace the one that’s what not even 25 years old

Now they're livid about Houston getting Stroud. I heard there are delays with the new Texans unis getting approved due to the Adams family.
It's awful how everything went down, but Bud wouldn't negotiate with the city. If the alternative was Houston losing the Astros as rumored then it worked out for the best.

Let it be known: I don't like it either. Adams is as unprofessional and petty as her father was. She's not concentrated on winning, at all. The team is completely gutted because of her poor leadership.
As for the throwbacks: Is it petty to wear them against Houston? Yes. Do I think it's funny when Houston sports fans get worked up about it? Also yes. I'm just here for the melts.

I agree. Most Titans fans agree.

1) I don't live in Davidson County
2) The economic return on a domed stadium will be huge for Nashville. Unfortunately, when the stadium was built in the late 90s, investors and developers were only focused on the near term and not the long term. That's a common theme in new-growth Sun Belt cities. Cities like Atlanta and Nashville grew practically overnight compared with the old growth cities of the Northeast and Midwest. The "tear it down and build something new" mentality dominates everything there.

Which makes you petty and a douchebag, so congrats

For what, teasing a rival? Aren't the Titans and Texas rivals? You're taking this to heart too much.
