The same OKC that Luka disposed of in the playoffs last year? I think OKC is really good too but it’s just funny you called him trash in the same post referencing getting outclassed by OKC.

They shot 20 more free throws than the T-Wolves last night and only won by 9 points.

Ant also got ejected halfway through the 3rd quarter, and the Twolves were missing Gobert and Randle.

Lakers have been on a nice little run but it feels like a mirage given their lack of talent outside of Luka and LeBron. They're blitzing teams with their small ball defense that switches everything. It's working in the regular season but don't think it's gonna take them far in the playoffs. Will also be interesting to see how long 40 year old LeBron can keep this up.

Jimmy Butler makes them a cheatcode.

While they have played better and won games, he's been low key bad since joining the Warriors. Shooting 43% from the field and a blistering 7% from 3.

They have had a cake walk schedule since they traded for him.

My concern for OKC is that SGA is a foul merchant and refs sometimes start swallowing their whistles in the playoffs.

LOL, you bought into the uneducated narrative

Fun Fact: The Thunder have the lowest free-throw differential in the NBA this season — their opponents are shooting five more free throws per game.

Shai Gilgeous Alexander is the only person to score 6,000+ points in the last 3 seasons.

1. Shai: 6,233

GAP

2. Tatum: 5,704
3. Giannis: 5,602

BUT YET HES 3RD IN SHOT ATTEMPTS.

And YES he would still lead the league in PPG/Total WITHOUT free throws.

Iverson. Kobe. Harden. Shai.

SGA has joined an elite group of players in last 25 years to score 30+ PTS in 35 or more games for 3 straight seasons!

And before you even ask, SGA has done it on the fewest amount of free throws of the four.

I still think the West is too deep and the Celtics are too good though. Thoughts?

Oklahoma is getting older and wiser. They have incredible depth and their coaching is top-notch. The only thing that is possibly slowing them down is developing the championship mindset. And that only comes from winning tough games and learning from losing. That is exactly what the Celtics have just gone through for years. And that pretty much is what most championship teams have to go through. The only question I have about the Thunder is how close is that mindset. That is still a very dangerous team. And easily, the best in the west.

Agree. 2 years ago they were just coming out of tank mode and Chet was out all year. 1 year ago they increased way more than anyone anticipated but lost in Western Semi’s.

This year they made some roster additions with IHart and Caruso, both great adds. Chet was out with that fluke fall hip injury and just getting back. Now HC is experimenting with different roster alignments and that should help come playoff time.

My only worry is they don’t get as many foul calls as opponents and although they are winning big most games it doesn’t come into play much. But in playoffs if the calls aren’t evened up it will make a difference in close games. They do play great defense which will help.

Main thing is if they stay healthy then they do have a chance to go all the way. The defense will help against a variety of teams they might face. They can also go small and beat you too.

The experience is the key factor that might keep them from winning it all. Losing that playoff series last year helped to toughen them up some plus find weaknesses, which they added IHart/Carusu.

If they play Lakers I think their youth can run LBJ/Luka hard and wear them out. And will beat them inside.

The west will have some intriguing potential matchups. Every team has ability to win but 7 game series will help OKC youth too.
