Publics scared. Want trophies for everyone.

Publics don't want to play privates because they say privates recruit (so do publics). So now publics and privates won't play each other in playoffs for football, basketball, baseball, and softball. 12 different "state champions" in the sports now.

The principals just now voted and the playoffs for football, basketball, and baseball/softball will be split starting in the 2016/17 school year (football was already split).
The publics and privates will still (for now) compete against each other for regular season and district honors, but when playoff brackets are filled out there will be separate brackets for every classification.

Incompetent public school administrators making unreasonable decisions.
So basically Louisiana public education.

Since privates recruit players to their school examples, Uhigh John Curtis and others, this split allows public schools to not have to play these schools who are hand selecting their players rather than publics who are getting random draws.
In poker if you got to pick your 2 cards rather than a player getting randomly dealt 2 cards... who do you think has the advantage.
In order for publics to "recruit" like above people are saying a student must move to the required attendance zones that the school is associated with. Which rarely ever happens.

This is not even at all what this is about.

Sure it is.
Public school are an inferior product in Louisiana. Kids don't have to pay to go to school there and yet they are so bad that kids/parents are willing to pay money to go to a competent organization.
Instead of looking in the mirror and rectifying the in-house issues, they opt for segregating the competent schools.

You serious Clark? So people never take advantage of a relative living in a certain school district?

What a load of bullshite.. Hand selecting my arse

some people are hopelessly myopic and ignorant
I hate the "schools hand pick" comments like there is a draft or something. Kids and parents choose to go to a private school, no one is forced to do anything

There is no reasoning with these people. They've been fed a line of bullshite and they will regurgitate ad nauseam without a shred of proof.

So can you explain to me what the assistant basketball coach for UHigh does who sits on the bench during the games on his phone for the entire game?

Can you?
To quote JT Curtis three years ago at the subcommittee hearing, "why would I go out and recruit? Parents and kids knock on my door every day begging to come in"

LHSAA is the biggest crock of a shite association and it's not even funny. I can't believe schools even listen to them and pay them money. Their about as bad as the fricking Metro Council and stupid arse John Delgado!

It's the only argument they can use. Just another example of the failures of our public school system. They can't even build a solid argument based on all of the facts.

LOSER bullshite and I'm a product of public schools. Public schools have the benefit of being free. all you have to do is not suck at life (see Texas Public Shools) and you will blow away the privates. Before you start with the scholarship programs, there are a few aids handed out but the VAST majority of private school kids pay every cent of their tuition. Lastly, go look at Notre Dame. Somebody should fire their recruiting coordinator.
